Serbia defeated Greece 76-66

With Antetokounmpo absent, all eyes were on Jokic in the warm-up match between Serbia and Greece held in Limassol — the Denver star did not disappoint.

Jokic showcased a dominant performance, shooting 8 for 14 to achieve 23 points, 19 rebounds, and 4 assists, leading Serbia to a 76-66 victory over Greece.

His presence controlled the entire game, particularly in the paint and on the boards. From the middle of the second quarter, Serbia took charge of the match.

Despite Greece frequently rotating their lineup and narrowing the gap to just 3 points towards the end of the game, a crucial three-pointer from Serbia reignited their momentum. They held off the pressure and secured the win.

Jovic and Bogdanovic each added 9 points; for Greece, Mitoglou led with 18 points, followed by Sloukas (11 points) and Tyler Dorsey (10 points).

Italy defeated Latvia 91-75

On the eve of the 2025 European Basketball Championship, Italy defeated Latvia 91-75, continuing their unbeaten summer streak.

Fontecchio shone with 21 points, and Rich contributed 16 points. Melli (13 points), Spagnolo (12 points), and Spissu (11 points) also scored in double figures.

In Limassol, Israel defeated Cyprus with a significant score of 109-69.

Israel produced a decisive 28-15 run in the third quarter, extending their lead to 24 points (83-59) by the end of the quarter, effectively sealing the game.

Despite Cyprus maintaining competitiveness for most of the first half under Liavaditis' leadership, they struggled to keep pace as Israel's offense surged in the second half.

Outstanding players for Israel included forward Avdija from the Trail Blazers, who contributed 12 points. Ginobili and Zosman tied as the team's leading scorers with 15 points each, while Zalmanov also added 12 points.

For Cyprus, Tikis and Simitzis each scored 12 points, tying for the team lead, while Willis added 10 points.
