On November 4, Beijing time, 36-year-old defender DJ Augustine announced his retirement on IG social media. He played 14 seasons in the NBA, playing for 11 teams and playing with the Rockets and Lakers.

Augustine wrote on social media: "Today, I am officially announcing my retirement from the sport I have loved for a long time. Basketball isn't just a sport, it's a journey filled with unforgettable memories, friendships, lessons, and experiences off the court. ”

Augustin played in a total of 976 regular season games in his career, averaging 9.5 points, 1.8 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game, shooting 41.2% from the field and 38.1% from three-point range. Played in 38 playoff games, averaging 8.2 points, 1.2 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. During his playing career, he played for the Bobcats (the predecessor of the Hornets), the Pacers, the Raptors, the Bulls, the Pistons, the Thunder, the Nuggets, the Magic, the Bucks, the Rockets and the Lakers, earning a total of $64.95 million. Currently, Augustin is working as a part-time assistant coach for the Rockets and is expected to officially become a basketball coach in the future.
