The Celtics officially announced Boucher's signing. According to previous reports from Shams,Boucher brings his talent to Boston with a one-year, $3.3 million deal.

Boucher was born on January 11, 1993, making him 32 years old. He is Canadian, an undrafted player from the 2017 draft, standing 2.06 meters tall with a wingspan of 2.24 meters, playing as a forward/center. Throughout his NBA career, he averages 8.9 points and 5.1 rebounds per game in the regular season, while in the playoffs, he averages 5.3 points and 3.2 rebounds.

The highlight of this guy's NBA career was winning the championship with the Raptors in the 2018-19 season, where he was essentially a waterboy. In the 2019 playoffs, he played only two games, averaging 2 minutes per game with 2.5 points and 0.5 rebounds, making his contribution negligible.

Celtics reporter Krivitsky commented on this, stating thatBoucher's arrival fills the last official roster spot for the team and successfully reduces the luxury tax from $73.1 million to $39.5 million, below the second luxury tax threshold of $7.8 million and above the first luxury tax threshold of $4 million, making it unlikely to reach an agreement with Simmons.

Currently, the only NBA team that might offer Simmons a contract seems to be the Knicks, the biggest contenders in the Eastern Conference for the upcoming season.
Despite his injury-prone nature, there's no need to fear joining the Knicks, as the team's current head coach is Mike Brown, and the demanding coach Thibodeau has long since left.

However, to put it bluntly, the possibility of Simmons signing with the Knicks still remains a big question mark. Perhaps it’s just another false rumor.

It's worth mentioning that there were recent reports about the TPBL league in Taiwan actively reaching out to Simmons... How good could it be there? Simmons could learn a thing or two from Howard and Cousins.

As a former first overall pick in the 2016 draft, Simmons is only 29 years old this year, which should be the prime age for a basketball player. However, he finds himself on the brink of elimination from the NBA. Last season, he played for the Nets (averaging 6.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 6.9 assists) and the Clippers (averaging 2.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.1 assists), and in this year's playoffs, he averaged 0.8 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 0.8 assists while wearing the Clippers jersey.

If one word were to describe Simmons's entire NBA career in the future, it would likely be disappointment!
