This match also marked Darius Thompson's debut for the Italian team; for Argentina, Javi Vaulet and Gonzalo Corbalan combined for 29 points.

Italy will be placed in Group C for the 2025 FIBA EuroBasket, alongside co-host Cyprus, Georgia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Spain, and Greece.

As the defending champions, the Spain team coached by Scariolo will be placed in Group C, facing Cyprus, Italy, Greece, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Georgia.

France will begin their group stage journey in Katowice, facing Poland, Israel, Iceland, Slovenia, and Belgium in Group D.

Poland 94-89 Georgia

After a narrow win against Sweden, the Polish team continued their momentum on the path to co-hosting this summer's most anticipated event, defeating Georgia 94-89.
