Currently, there is about one month left until Honor of Kings’ tenth anniversary celebration. The official has gradually started the prelude. In the latest S41 season official update announcement, they included a preview of the tenth anniversary benefits, which also mentioned the return of previous anniversary limited skins. Anniversary Skin Return

So far, Honor of Kings has released a total of 11 anniversary limited skins. Except for the first anniversary Guan Yu Icebound Warlord and last year’s Wang Zhaojun and Ailin skins, all other anniversary limited skins have been free to obtain. This tenth anniversary, the official will bring back eight free anniversary limited skins for players to claim at no cost.

It can be seen that the acquisition method is quite simple, similar to the event when the 86-version Journey to the West collaboration skins were released a few years ago. Players can freely choose one skin. Besides the eight anniversary limited skins, there will also be a new skin added, which is the Sanxingdui cultural skin announced several years ago. The quality of cultural skins is always high, so there’s no need to worry much. This mainly aims to give players a sense of participation with all the anniversary skins.

How to Choose

Since it’s a 9-to-1 choice, the question of how to select arises. The new Sanxingdui cultural skin hasn’t been revealed yet, so it’s not included in this discussion. How should players pick from the remaining eight skins?

Sang Qi Ming Ye Hao, as the only legendary quality skin among all anniversary skins, naturally deserves priority consideration. This skin is themed around plants, mainly featuring grass green colors. The special effects are quite rich, making the overall skin performance very good. Being legendary, it also has exclusive animations and recall effects. However, Sang Qi is a relatively niche support hero with a low pick rate in the game, so if you already have other skins, its priority can be lowered.

Shangguan Wan’er Liang Zhu, although most anniversary limited skins have collaboration themes, I still think this skin is the best collaboration. After all, the story of Liang Zhu is well-known, and the skin design is very faithful. The effects are very detailed, and there are even some operatic vocal elements in the lines, which add a lot of atmosphere. So those who don’t have it yet can consider this skin as a priority.

Zhuang Zhou Gao Shan Liu Shui, this skin is recommended simply because Zhuang Zhou himself is easy to use, without overly complex mechanics. He has super armor and group purification effects, meaning as long as Zhuang Zhou wants to engage, most heroes struggle to hold him back, especially in the current meta full of crowd control. His importance is increasingly highlighted. As for the skin itself, it features an ink wash style with a refined scholarly feel, offering a unique experience.
