Hello everyone, I’m Xiaodi.
As we all know, King of Glory has now reached Season 41, and the new hero Chisha has been introduced. Earlier, I noted that this hero shows promise for a development lane strategy. Surprisingly, in the opening match of the KPL annual finals, Chisha’s debut was on the development lane, and it resulted in a victory. So what makes this hero viable for the development lane?

In the first match of the 2025 KPL annual finals’ opening day, Chongqing Wolves faced Suzhou KSG. Wolves’ player Daozai picked Chisha for the development lane and secured the win. Stat-wise, Chisha had a KDA of 3/1/9, about 13k gold, dealt 28.2% of the team’s damage, and participated in 100% of team fights.

From the in-game performance, Chisha didn’t have many standout moments in this match, with almost no highlight plays, as the game was largely about team coordination. However, looking into details, Chisha’s role was evident: early game mainly holding the line under pressure better than typical marksmen; mid to late game focusing on flanking damage, almost like an assassin’s playstyle. The build included Lightning Dagger, End of the World, Ominous Omen, Witch’s Cloak, and Wind Chaser, with a slot that was originally for boots switched to a small Steel Edge, likely to continue building damage items.
Though Chisha appears to have many skill forms, attack speed is actually the core attribute, as this is King of Glory’s first hero whose attack speed can exceed the cap, reaching up to 360 attack speed. This means Chisha’s damage items won’t be Shadow Axe or Breaker, but rather Blade of Shadow, Lightning Dagger, End of the World, and similar gear—commonly called “orb build.” These items not only increase attack speed but also add extra damage effects to each hit, so the faster the attack speed, the better.

Similarly, most marksmen rely on attack speed to deal damage, often using this orb build style. Since marksmen generally have long casting ranges, many skill-based damage heroes struggle to lane against them and are pressured early game. Therefore, only warriors who also depend on basic attacks fit well against marksmen, which explains development lane picks like Sikong Zhen and Old Master. Naturally, Chisha fits into this category too.

As a development lane hero, Chisha can hold pressure well early on due to many skill effects and flexible responses based on the situation. Plus, most players build some tank items, making early deaths rare. In mid to late game, Chisha fully unleashes as a true warrior hero. If the mid lane pairs with a mage-assassin like Zhi Huo Wu, the lineup need not worry about the backline being targeted, forming a classic dual-side strategy.

That’s all for now. If you liked it, please give a thumbs up to support. If you have anything to say, ask, or want to see, leave your comments below—I’ll read every one!
