Hello everyone, I’m Game Xiaodi.
The King’s S41 season has once again updated and optimized the monthly welfare booklet, and the new booklet is officially open now. However, Xiaodi noticed that many players don’t fully understand the new rules. Some think the new version is great, while others prefer the old one, causing ongoing debate. So, in this episode, Xiaodi will focus on explaining it.
First, the prize pool still includes epic and champion skins, but it’s no longer separated into different pools; instead, they are combined together. Players earn free refresh tokens by completing tasks such as logging in, playing matches, and getting kills or assists, which they can use to refresh the rewards in the pool. The first 40 refreshes each cost 1 free token, while subsequent refreshes require 2 tokens each.
Regarding rewards, every 20 refreshes guarantee an epic or champion skin, and at 120 refreshes, an epic skin is guaranteed, prioritizing skins the player doesn’t own. Additionally, each refresh has a 1% chance to drop an epic skin.
Moreover, the number of refreshes does not reset with the update of the booklet each month, but the free tokens do reset. For example, if you refreshed 119 times last month and still had 5 tokens left unused, the next month your progress remains at 119 refreshes, so only one more refresh is needed to guarantee an epic skin. However, if you don’t complete new tasks, your tokens will be zero.
For most players, the new booklet actually reduces the burden. Now, an epic skin is guaranteed after 120 refreshes, requiring a total of 200 tokens. Since about 24 tokens can be earned weekly, it takes roughly 50 days to reach the goal. The old version required about three months for the guarantee, so this is roughly half the time. Also, the new booklet lets you see current rewards in real time, so if you get lucky and pull an epic skin early, you don’t have to wait that long.
However, for players who already own every skin in the prize pool, only the newly added Baili Xuance’s Luo Xiaohei Chronicle skin remains. Under the old rules, completing about two weeks’ worth of tasks was enough to get a level 3 chest that reliably awarded this skin. But now, it takes longer since the epic skin guarantee is only after 120 refreshes and prioritizes skins not yet owned. Early epic skins pulled might be duplicates, which actually increases the effort required.
This explains why players have such differing opinions. So, which type of player are you?
That’s all for today. If you found this helpful, please give a like to show support. If you have any questions, comments, or things you want to see, leave a message in the comments; I read them all~
No game unknown, no matter unspoken; I’m Xiaodi, here for joyful chats!
