Like and follow to climb ranks without getting lost~
Hello everyone, I’m Game Brother Xiao.
In the new season of Honor of Kings, Dunshan has undergone significant adjustments. Now Dunshan has returned to the top ban rate, especially in peak and high-level matches, where the ban rate reaches as high as 80%. This clearly shows how insanely strong Dunshan is. Although the developers quickly nerfed him afterward, it hardly affected this situation. The biggest issue with Dunshan currently is that it’s very hard to get him picked in matches.
Of course, as a support hero, Dunshan’s strength mainly lies in the buffs he provides his teammates. So, which heroes pair best with Dunshan for outstanding results?
Many players know that Luban No.7’s damage output is actually terrifying because he deals percentage-based damage. So even against tanky heroes, he can deal damage quickly. However, his downside is poor mobility, making it difficult to escape when enemies get close, which is why many call him “short legs.”
With Dunshan, this problem disappears because Dunshan can lift Luban No.7 up, allowing him to unleash his attacks freely. His passive rapid-fire, which requires standing still, can be fully executed, and his passive-charged basic attacks can be performed while moving (kiting). If you also equip the new season’s Sunfire Bow, Luban No.7’s damage output can reach a whole new level.
Galo is quite similar to Luban No.7; his late-game damage is also terrifying. But this hero also suffers from poor mobility, especially in late game when he can output; although he has long range, he often loses enemies due to lack of mobility.
However, paired with Dunshan, Galo can also kite effectively without having to stop for basic attacks, preventing enemies from escaping. This allows Galo to become a roaming marksman. Imagine a marksman with roaming mobility and stationary shooting damage—that’s incredibly powerful and definitely a great tool for climbing ranks.
If the previous two heroes are marksmen, this one paired with Dunshan is a solo lane hero. Usually, solo lane heroes tend to be quite mobile and don’t really need Dunshan’s support, but there is one exception: Hua Mulan.
Hua Mulan’s heavy sword form significantly increases single-hit damage but makes her very cumbersome and reduces mobility. The clearest example is her heavy sword first skill, which requires a long stationary charge for explosive damage. Often, enemies run away during the charge, making the effort wasted.
With Dunshan, Hua Mulan can charge while moving, and once fully charged, deliver massive damage. This is even better than a flash and feels somewhat like the magic item effect of Taiyi Zhenren. Of course, this requires good communication and coordination between the two players to achieve the best results.
That’s all for today. If you found this helpful, please give a like to support. If you have anything to say, ask, or want to see, leave your comments below—I’ll read them all~
