October 7th Annual Highlights: Can RW Warriors secure their first game win? LGD and KSG battle for crucial points

The 2025 KPL Annual Finals have entered the last phase of competition, but no team has locked in a playoff berth yet, highlighting the fierce competition this year! The three matches on the 7th are crucial for all six teams involved!

With the support of loaned players, DRG has finally reclaimed its rightful place in this year’s finals. In recent BO5 matches, their full main lineup has won comfortably, only occasionally losing a single game during roster rotations. Currently, they hold a 4-0 record with a +9 net score, the highest theoretical net score among the master group teams.

Although TES missed out on capitalizing on TTG’s roaming advantages, they managed a remarkable comeback in their last match by overturning LGD from a 2-0 deficit to win 3-2, earning the nickname “High-tier EDG.” Like before, all their first three BO5 matches went the distance, but unlike others, they secured a big match point and currently lead the elite group standings. Despite TES’s strong form, they still face pressure when facing DRG!

LGD, after taking a 2-0 lead to match point in their previous game, suddenly dropped form, with both lineups failing to perform, allowing TES to win three straight games and becoming the third master group team defeated by the elite group. This loss pushed LGD to the bottom of the master group standings. If they lose another big match tonight, they will likely have to prepare for the knockout qualifiers.

KSG thought a 3-0 win over WB was a good start, but they suffered a humiliating defeat against TTG in their last match. Poor teamfight decisions and disjointed play in disadvantageous situations caused them to lose all the net points they had accumulated previously in a single match. If they can recover today and snatch a big win from LGD, they still have a chance to reclaim first place in the elite group. However, another heavy loss today would mean facing the knockout qualifiers.

Wolf Team finally achieved their first 3-0 sweep in this finals against QJ in the last match. Which lineup will be SK’s answer in the knockout stage remains uncertain. Today’s match is another low-intensity one; it will be interesting to see how SK manages their master group rotations. On the RW Warriors side, their game against Foshan DRG showed relatively improved stats, with Fly ending his “zero series” streak and the team’s average tower pushes rising above one per game. However, this improvement is still insufficient to secure a game win for RW Warriors.

Additionally, since QJ took a game from AG Super Play last night, RW Warriors must win at least one game in the upcoming matches to avoid finishing last and being eliminated. Facing Wolf Team, who have no pressure entering the knockout stage, might be RW Warriors’ best opportunity.

In the game Honor of Kings, there are now 137 heroes, some of which are definitely worth mastering because they have the power to turn matches around! The mage Shiranui is very agile, able to roll a distance with each skill use, which helps maintain a safe gap from enemies. Shiranui can fight multiple opponents alone by throwing fans while retreating, using her second skill to chip away at enemies’ health repeatedly until they fall. Her high mobility and burst damage make her a strong one-versus-five contender, highly recommended for players to practice.

Then there is Lü Bu, whose first skill is an enchanted area slash that deals true damage to all enemies within range. If enemies cluster together, this skill can hit up to five targets at once. His ultimate is also an area slash, making Lü Bu capable of fighting five opponents simultaneously.

If the enemy team groups tightly, getting hit by both Lü Bu’s first skill and ultimate, he can often take on five enemies alone. Especially when Lü Bu is significantly ahead in economy, his screen-wide true damage can easily wipe out the entire enemy team, even if his teammates make mistakes, resulting in a team wipe.
