This skin can be redeemed in two ways: either with 990 limited-time vouchers for the bundle containing the skin and a button, or with 178 skin shards. So, which method should you choose?

Skin shard redemption

This method saves you 990 limited-time vouchers, allowing you to use them for more rewards. By adding 376 vouchers yourself, you can directly redeem two legendary skins, making it clearly cost-effective.

However, this method suits players who already have a substantial number of skin shards, at least 300. According to current trends, King of Glory seems to be accelerating the consumption of players’ skin shard reserves. Since the second half of this year, new skins have frequently appeared in the skin shard store, such as Hou Yi Ishida Ryū, Gongsun Li Tushan Rongrong, and Zhang Liang Luo Xiaohui War Chronicle. Additionally, some skins obtained through events are added to the skin shard store after the events end, like Nezha Luo Xiaohui War Chronicle. Moreover, the official has recently temporarily stopped issuing team skin shard red packets and lobby skin shard red packets, reducing the circulation of skin shards among players.

Therefore, players with fewer skin shards may need to be more cautious in their usage. Since it’s uncertain whether similar benefits will appear later, using limited-time vouchers for redemption might be a better choice. Keep in mind that according to King of Glory’s usual practice, a new epic skin from previous years is typically added to the prize pool in December. Examples include Mulan Crystal Dragon Hunter, Shen Mengxi Moon Group Memory, and Baili Shouyue Phantom Agent, all added in recent years. Limited-time voucher redemption

This is the method that I, Xiao Di, recommend more. After all, just by logging in on the 25th, you can get 1000 limited-time vouchers, enough to directly redeem Hou Yi’s Divine Tree Ascension skin. Compared to the skin shard method, this also grants an extra button, which is a nice bonus for players who frequently use Hou Yi.

However, after this, you’ll have only 2010 limited-time vouchers left, enough to redeem one legendary skin or two epic skins. If you want to redeem many skins with limited-time vouchers this time, this amount might be insufficient. But in reality, I think there aren’t many skins worth redeeming this time. Although the official added two batches of skins, compared to the sixth anniversary’s limited-time voucher store, the selection is less impressive. Back then, skins like Li Xin One Thought God Demon, Diao Chan Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Yao Encountering the Divine Deer were all available, so there’s no need to worry too much.
