Christmas event returns, and a puppy giveaway? This Friday, Benedict Cumberbatch teams up with World of Tanks to launch the event.

In a few days, the eagerly awaited holiday operation for World of Tanks players will kick off. This year’s ambassador, Benedict Cumberbatch, collaborates with World of Tanks to deliver many great activities to commanders, plus a returning bonus where the Xiapeng dog from last year’s game update will be gifted to all!

This year’s event, just like last year, is split into combat and management sections. The combat part features the holiday challenge brought by Benedict Cumberbatch, consisting of 56 tasks over 28 days. Each day, a new challenge card unlocks with two combat missions.

Completing one of the tasks on the challenge card (marked by a blue stamp) advances the main progress of the challenge; finishing the task with the red stamp pushes forward the progress toward obtaining the Xiapeng dog.

The rewards are quite generous, including vehicle discounts, consumables, and premium equipment. Most importantly, as the event ambassador, Benedict Cumberbatch can be recruited as a commander in the game. Additionally, there are 2D style skins related to his iconic film roles and quotes, making these prizes a must-have for fans of Cumberbatch or his characters!

These combat missions also grant 28 tokens, which can be exchanged for the Xiapeng dog to keep permanently in the garage. Additionally, players will receive a daily 10% silver coin bonus on battle earnings (limited to the first ten battles each day).

If you can’t play that many battles, completing half and using coins to buy the Xiapeng dog at half price is also an option. Of course, for players who want to get it for free, some effort will be required. After all, this adorable Xiapeng dog will stay in the garage permanently, respond interactively, and provide silver coin bonuses along with other extra rewards — making it truly appealing.

Alongside the holiday operation, new vehicles in the Christmas supply boxes are ready to debut. This year marks the first time level 10 special vehicles appear in the Christmas boxes, each with unique features. For example, the BZT-70, the heaviest tank with the largest caliber and highest single-shot damage, boasts powerful firepower, reliable armor, and a sleek appearance.

Then there’s the War Croc, a name that sounds fierce and matches its actual combat strength. It deals high single-shot damage and, thanks to a clip mechanism similar to the Tier I TD, performs in battle like a vehicle with 6-second reload and 470 damage per shot.

Besides these two special Tier 10 vehicles newly added to the Christmas boxes, three Tier 9 premium tanks — the E-90 and Louis Engineering — are also worth mentioning. The former excels at earning silver with its ammo, making it a money-making marvel with low maintenance; the latter offers maximum entertainment, similar to a Tier 7 “king of fun” AMX 1357 that can dogfight and spotlight. Overall, all are worth trying out.
