Checking my phone notifications, gold prices have risen again!
At the end of the year, it was around eight hundred something, I hesitated and didn't buy. Now, looking again, it’s over a thousand. Some friends posted pictures of gold bars with captions like "Buying half a month earlier would have saved the cost of a phone." I quietly turned off the screen, feeling uneasy—not because I couldn’t afford it, but because I regretted not acting sooner.
Talking with colleagues about this, everyone felt the same: gold, as a hard asset, always seems like a must-buy in hindsight, but when it comes to actually buying, hesitation takes over. And while hesitating, the price just keeps climbing.

A friend noticed my frustration and said something that stunned me: "If you can’t afford gold, why don’t you try farming 'gold' in the game?"
He was referring to Shengqu’s newly released "Legend New Hundred District Combo — Alliance Heavy Arms," launching open beta on February 25. At first, I didn’t get it—farming gold in a game? After he explained, I understood. The “gold farming” in gaming means fighting for equipment that can be sold for money, not digging for actual gold.

The new server is called the "Combo Edition," and its biggest feature is that everyone can have a personal hero. The hero automatically helps you fight monsters, absorb damage, and unleash combo skills—doing the work of two people, doubling the efficiency of treasure hunting.
With improved efficiency, more equipment drops naturally. When the new server opens, top players rush to level up their heroes, needing gear and skill books badly, and they never haggle over items. Casual players who play two hours after work might get a rare drop and list it in the market, essentially mining some "gold" for themselves.

The key point is: on this official new server, trading is free, and the gear you get can be directly converted into cash. Unlike those private servers where all your hard-earned items vanish when the server shuts down the next day.
During the open beta, the official team also prepared 10,000 bottles of 53-degree Feitian Moutai and the first batch of 3,000 sets of the master-blessed "Judgment Staff" collectibles. All monsters in the server have a chance to drop exchange coupons—even the small monsters in the newbie village.

Some players resell the Moutai bottles for thousands of yuan, which is basically free money. If that’s not “gold,” what is?
Missed the gold price surge? Don’t miss out on the “gold farming” opportunities in the game.
