Hello everyone, I'm Xiao Di from the gaming community.
In the current version, whenever Li Xin appears in a match, there's about an 80% chance he's playing the tower-stealing style—normal laning early, then split-pushing and tower-stealing later. If Teleport is chosen as the summoner skill, it's almost guaranteed he's fully dedicated to this approach. Does anyone else wonder, like I do, why Li Xin—whose skill set has no direct interaction with towers—has become the iconic hero for tower-stealing? Today, let's delve into this.

For a hero to excel at tower-stealing, two key traits are essential: mobility and high tower damage. Mobility relates to the "stealing" aspect—it requires exploiting information gaps and acting unexpectedly, thus demanding strong mobility. Simply put, effective split-pushing requires either multiple dashes or high speed boosts. Heroes like Han Xin exemplify the former, while Li Xin and Guan Yu represent the latter. There's also an outlier: Da Qiao's teleportation ability.
High tower damage addresses the "tower" part—the need to destroy towers quickly within limited time. This includes heroes with special tower-damaging abilities like Liu Chan or Mi Lai Di, or heroes with very high attack speed, such as most marksmen, Lao Fu Zi, and Li Xin's Frenzy form.

Looking across Honor of Kings' heroes, Li Xin seems the most fitting candidate perfectly matching both conditions. This explains why players quickly developed this playstyle for him after his release.
Earlier, Da Qiao's teleportation was mentioned. In KPL for a period, the Da Qiao plus Lao Fu Zi combo was popular for split-pushing and tower-stealing, proving very effective. In the current version of Honor of Kings, Li Xin alone can achieve what that combo did, thanks to the Teleport summoner skill introduced in recent seasons and the Teleportation Array added earlier to the对抗路 (top lane). This further enhances Li Xin's flexibility, elevating this playstyle to its peak—hence why most Li Xin players now adopt the tower-stealing approach.

Imagine a mid-to-late game scenario where both teams are contesting the ancient creature near the对抗路. The lanes are initially balanced. Suddenly, one side's Li Xin appears at the对抗路 Teleportation Array to clear the wave. The opposing对抗路 hero quickly responds, but within 3 seconds Li Xin clears the wave, uses the Array to reach the发育路 (bottom lane) to handle another wave, and then, 3 seconds later, uses his own Teleport skill to appear in the mid lane. In under 10 seconds, all three lanes of the opposing side become disadvantaged, forcing them to abandon the ancient creature—because Li Xin is already heading toward the high-ground towers.

Alternatively, he might Teleport directly to the发育路 and keep pushing towers. When defenders return, he Teleports again, creating unpredictable pressure. By the time you react, you might lose a tower at best, or worse, your crystal could be destroyed, ending the game.

Thus, Teleport is the real reason the tower-stealing strategy for Li Xin is so popular now. If Honor of Kings ever introduces a vote to ban a specific summoner skill per match, I believe Teleport would definitely be on that list.
