Hello everyone, I'm Xiaodi from the gaming world.

The new King of Glory Season 44 was updated yesterday, and this update includes adjustments to 17 heroes. Among them, Bian Que received the biggest change—a major rework. Sun Wukong, Hai Yue, Ying, and Li Xin were given balance adjustments, while Huang Zhong, Lao Fuzi, Ya Lian, Marco Polo, Di Renjie, Yu Ji, Sun Quan, Gongsun Li, Chi Chang, Ai Lin, Zhu Bajie, and Bai Qi were all buffed. Now, the first-day win rate data for these 17 heroes has been released. Some are happy, some are worried—let's take a look at how they performed!

Five heroes saw significant win rate drops

These five heroes are Bian Que, Ying, Chi Chang, Sun Quan, and Ai Lin. Ying's win rate across all tiers dropped by 3.1%, with similar declines in higher tiers. Ying's changes were quite numerous, so part of the reason may be players' lower familiarity, but more likely, the nerfs outweighed the buffs, making Ying the hero with the biggest win rate drop among all adjusted heroes.

Bian Que originally had a decent win rate, all above 50%, but after this adjustment, his win rate has fallen considerably. Of course, this is largely due to players not being used to him yet—even more so than with Ying. As for the numbers, it's still hard to judge, but overall, there are quite a few issues: short range, slow damage output, no crowd control, and no vision-granting abilities. It's fair to say he has almost all the weaknesses a mage should avoid.

As for the other three heroes, they mainly suffered from the adjustments to the projectile-based item build. Ai Lin, Sun Quan, and Chi Chang are all core representatives of this build, and after these items got an internal cooldown, even the heroes' own buffs couldn't compensate. Of course, the new item "Wuxiang Artifact" may also have an impact. Overall, their strength is currently quite worrying. Among the adjusted marksmen, only Gongsun Li and Marco Polo saw slight win rate increases, but since their original win rates were low, their overall strength isn't much better. Huang Zhong is the exception.

Three heroes saw big win rate increases

They are Bai Qi, Ya Lian, and Huang Zhong. Bai Qi has become a hot pick in the clash lane. His win rate was already decent, and after the new season, it rose even further—55.5% across all tiers, which is an impressive performance. His stats in peak and top-tier matches are also good. It seems that besides his own buffs, the Wuxiang Artifact may have given him a significant boost.

Huang Zhong's second skill now has a knockback effect, which is quite useful—it gives him a bit of self-peel. Sometimes just a slight control can make a big difference in the situation. Also, the nerf to projectile-based items didn't affect Huang Zhong much, since he mainly relies on critical-hit builds for damage—this is a kind of reverse benefit for him.

Ya Lian is the biggest winner of this adjustment, with his win rate rising across all tiers. The buff mainly gave him a lot of raw numbers, for example, his third skill's values nearly doubled. So his strength has increased significantly, making him a must-pick for climbing ranks.

As for the other adjusted heroes, their win rates also fluctuated, but overall the changes weren't significant. Xiaodi has compiled a full table; feel free to check it out for yourself~
