Like and Follow to Never Get Lost in the Game~
Hello Everyone, I'm Game Enthusiast Xiaodi.
King of Chess announced yesterday that it will officially launch on September 10th. This game is quite entertaining, and its most unique mechanism is probably the auction. Xiaodi has experienced it since the beta test—this mechanism has been around almost from the very beginning and has been retained until now, showing that it is indeed very popular among players. So in this issue, we'll specifically explain the auction mechanism and some tips that new players can try.

When the game reaches rounds 4, 8, and 11, the auction mechanism is triggered. The system will randomly provide designated extra resources for players to choose from. Players use energy to bid—the initial price is 1 energy, and each subsequent increment is also 1 energy. The final rule is that the highest bidder wins.

However, each player can only win one card in the auction, and all cards start bidding simultaneously. Moreover, the number of cards auctioned follows an equal mechanism: the number of cards equals the number of players still in the game. Therefore, each player can obtain one card, and when obtaining a card, they also receive an equipment effect card.
The energy collected from bidding will be returned to all participating players in a specific proportion (i.e., dividends). Among them, players with lower current health (i.e., lower real-time ranking) will receive a larger share of the energy distribution, thus getting more dividend energy in the end.
This rule is not complicated, but there are actually many tips to grasp. Here is a brief explanation:
First, card selection. Generally, prioritize cards needed for your own lineup. But often, the cards may not fit your lineup. In such cases, you have several options:

Take core cards from other players. You can check other players' lineups at any time in the game to roughly determine their strategy. Then you can specifically compete for the core cards of that strategy, such as Li Xin in the sacrifice style or Hua Mulan in the resurrection style, to prevent other players from completing their lineups.
Take cards that can strengthen your lineup. Some cards, although not needed for your lineup, have effects that help improve levels. For example, Zhao Yun has an entry effect that boosts the level of himself and other teammates. You can buy and then field him, and later sell him. Or if the effect gives new cards, like Meng Qi, who gives a first-tier hero exchange ticket upon leaving the field. Even if the exchanged hero is useless, selling it can net you a free 1 energy.

Second, bid wisely. If you are ranked low, you can use the bidding mechanism to make other players invest more energy, thereby gaining a larger proportion of the dividends. Especially for some core cards, competition is relatively fierce. So if there is no card you want, it's better to stir the pot and gain a greater advantage for yourself.
However, if you bid against someone and they give up, leaving you as the highest bidder, you can no longer bid on other cards. Therefore, it is generally recommended to raise the price only about 2 times. For non-core cards, it's best not to raise the price at all, as the opponent might simply give up.

The energy distribution ratio is roughly: when total investment is 1 energy, the sixth-place player gets 1 energy; when total investment is 2 energy, the fifth and sixth players each get 1 energy; when total investment is 3 energy, the fifth player gets 1 energy and the sixth player gets 2 energy, and so on. So raising the price is not always better; sometimes it may indirectly help other players.
Third, card resource types. In the first two auctions, the card resources are hero cards. The first auction usually gives hero cards of tier 2~3, and the second usually gives hero cards of tier 4~5. The last auction gives high-level effect cards, such as adding energy or increasing levels.

Therefore, if you want to complete your core lineup through the auction, you must seize the first two opportunities. If you haven't obtained the core hero card by the end of the second auction, the auction will no longer be an option. At that point, you should try to refresh the shop to find the core card.
That's about it for the auction mechanism. We will explain other content in detail later. Please stay tuned.
That's all for this content. If you think it's good, feel free to give a like to support. If you have anything to say, ask, or want to see, leave a comment in the comment section, and I will read them all~
