In the opening round of the 2025 Valorant Champions global playoffs, PRX defeated G2 2-1 to move forward.

In the first half, G2 won the pistol round attacking site B. In the second round, PRX gambled on site C, destroying the spike and winning the fight to complete the comeback. In round 4, G2 reached the rifle round; after planting the spike at site C, they held off PRX’s retake and won the gunfight. By round 7, G2 executed a fake to hold site C and secured a comeback win. PRX responded with a perfect team wipe comeback. Both teams exchanged multiple comebacks in a fierce first half. After a timeout, G2 scored consecutively, but PRX tied the score in round 12. The half ended in a 6-6 draw.
In the second half, G2 won the pistol round and went on a four-round streak. In round 17, PRX defended spike site A, holding the treehouse and winning the retake. PRX then chased four rounds in a row. In round 21, G2 defended site A against PRX’s attack with JonahP’s Odin triple kill securing the round. The battle remained tight, ending 11-11. PRX successfully took site C in round 23, then held off G2’s retake at site A in round 24 to win the map 13-11.

In the first half, PRX started strong with three consecutive rounds. In round 4, G2 baited PRX’s utility at site A, then rotated to site B and won the round by trading kills to defend the spike. G2 followed with two more rounds. In round 6, dafo’s outstanding solo defense of site B earned him a four-kill round. In round 8, G2 pushed through mid to plant at site B; PRX lost three players and chose to save two rifles. PRX used both timeouts in the first half but couldn’t extend the lead, with the half ending tied 6-6.
In the second half, PRX won the pistol round, but G2’s swarm attack turned the tide with three rounds in a row. In round 17, PRX held site B against G2’s retake, delivering a highly efficient round. In round 18, G2’s defensive misread allowed PRX to fake a push and plant on the undefended site A, where d4v41 held off the retake with a four-kill spree. The score was tied 11-11. In round 23, G2 defended site B and secured match point. PRX aggressively attacked site A in round 24; despite being disadvantaged in site fights, something pulled off a clutch 1v3. The match went into overtime.
In overtime, PRX’s something secured a triple kill on defense. After switching sides, leaf held site B firmly, defending PRX’s attack. In the second round, G2 eliminated three PRX players on site A, then rotated to defend and secured the round. After switching sides again, PRX rushed site A recklessly but was stopped by JonahP’s Odin defense. G2 won map two.

In the first half, something’s four-kill round helped PRX win the pistol. In round 4, G2 broke through PRX’s defense and retake on site B, starting a four-round streak. In round 7, PRX trapped G2 at the spike site with a pincer attack and won the round. In round 8, leaf secured three kills mid with a sniper, helping G2 win the round. In round 9, leaf’s four-kill on site A dismantled PRX’s defense. In round 11, PRX held site A short with dafo’s triple kill leading the team to victory. The half ended with G2 leading 8-4 over PRX.
In the second half, PRX won the pistol round. In round 15, dafo completed a 1v2 clutch on site B, securing a bonus round win for PRX. PRX then went on a six-round winning streak. In round 18, G2 finally scored their first point in the second half defending site B. In round 20, PRX rushed site A; the teams traded four kills each in a chaotic fight, with trent finishing off PatMen to win the round. Both leaf and dafo carried their teams forward, and the score tied at 11-11. In round 23, G2’s eco round was crushed by PRX’s retake on site B, winning the match point round. In the final round, both teams fought fiercely at site B; after a 2-for-2 trade, PRX’s three players held off G2’s retake and secured the victory on map three.
