Congratulations to IG! They defeated JDG 3-1 and advanced to the Worlds as the 4th seed! Gala made a crucial comeback while xun made a major mistake.

In the LPL Play-In losers' final BO5 between IG and JDG, after four intense games, IG emerged victorious over JDG 3-1, earning the 4th seed to advance to Worlds!

In the first game, IG fielded Ornn top, Trundle jungle, Orianna mid, and Sivir with Alistar bot; JDG went with Rumble top, Pantheon jungle, Aurelion Sol mid, and Aphelios with Neeko bot. During the laning phase, a team fight over Rift Scuttler went wrong for IG’s mid and support, allowing JDG to execute a 4-for-0 exchange, pushing down the first tower in top lane and gaining a 3k gold lead early on.

In the mid-game contest for Rift Herald, Zhuo’s Neeko initiated perfectly, instantly bursting down Gala’s Sivir. JDG secured a 3-for-0 exchange and claimed the Herald. At 24 minutes, both teams fought over the dragon; xun’s Pantheon started the fight, but Scout’s Aurelion Sol and xiaoxu’s Rumble ultimates quickly killed Gala’s Sivir, granting JDG the Ocean Soul. At 28 minutes, Zhuo’s Neeko ward-ambushed and flawlessly initiated a fight, JDG collapsed on and killed three IG members, winning the first game. Scout’s Aurelion Sol dealt the highest damage in this game.

In game two, IG chose Aatrox top, Vi jungle, Annie mid, and Ezreal with Renata bot; JDG went with Sion top, Naya Feili jungle, Ryze mid, and Ziggs with Rell bot. The laning phase saw back-and-forth action, with JDG taking the first tower in top lane, while IG secured two dragons and the Rift Herald. JDG held a slight 1k gold lead early.

At 20 minutes mid-game, IG chased Scout’s Ryze too deep and got the kill, but JDG’s others counterattacked and traded 4-for-1, then took the Rift Herald. At 29 minutes, JDG’s jungle and support invaded IG’s jungle but were surrounded by IG; after xun’s Naya Feili was killed, IG initiated Baron. Wei’s Vi, at low health, secured the first Baron, and Gala on Ezreal made incredible plays to clean up, wiping JDG. Later at 35 minutes, JDG started a fight mid, but Peyz’s Ziggs was instantly killed, allowing IG to wipe JDG and claim game two. Gala on Ezreal was awarded MVP.

In game three, JDG picked Renekton top, Qiyana jungle, Galio mid, and Tristana with Leona bot; IG went with Jayce top, Jarvan jungle, Swain mid, and Kai’Sa with Rell bot. During laning, xiaoxu’s Renekton scored two solo kills on Theshy’s Jayce. IG pushed down the first tower bot and secured Rift Herald, with both teams even in gold early on.

In mid-game, JDG’s mid and jungle killed Theshy’s Jayce, while IG’s others contested Rift Herald, but Zhuo’s Leona secured it for JDG. JDG then chased aggressively; after Theshy’s Jayce respawned and teleported behind, JDG was wiped by IG. At 27 minutes, IG started Baron, JDG rushed to contest, but Theshy’s Jayce initiated on xun’s Qiyana. IG chased and killed four JDG members, securing the first Baron. At 29 minutes, IG wiped JDG again in bot lane, winning game three.

In game four, JDG chose Quasanti top, Wukong jungle, Lissandra mid, and Lucian with Nami bot; IG selected Gnar top, Zyra jungle, Taliyah mid, and Varus with Braum bot. During laning and Rift Herald fight, although meiko’s Braum was killed first, Zhuo’s Nami also fell. In the ensuing skirmish, Gala’s Varus cleaned up, and IG traded 2-for-4, gaining a 2k gold lead early.

In mid-game, both teams fought for Rift Herald, with Wei’s Zyra claiming it. At 23 minutes, JDG found an opening on Wei’s Zyra, scattering IG’s formation. JDG scored a 3-for-1 exchange and went for the dragon, but Gala’s Varus stole the Ocean Soul. At 26 minutes, IG started Baron, JDG came to contest, but IG turned the fight, with Gala cleaning up and IG scoring a 4-for-0 exchange to claim Baron. At 28 minutes, JDG flanked and finally killed Gala’s Varus, but Theshy’s Gnar cleaned up, and IG traded 5-for-3 to wipe JDG and secure the match victory.
