Congratulations to GEN! They defeated HLE 3-1 to claim the LCK championship! Ruler was on fire, while Zeka made several critical mistakes.

In the LCK finals BO5 between HLE and GEN, after four intense matches, GEN emerged victorious over HLE with a 3-1 result, taking the LCK championship!

In the first game, HLE had Aatrox top, Poppy jungle, Orianna mid, and Tristana with Rell bot; GEN had Sion top, Vi jungle, Ryze mid, and Ezreal with Neeko bot. During laning, Ruler’s Ezreal managed an incredible 1v2 solo kill on HLE’s Tristana, and early on GEN destroyed the first turret in the bot lane, secured two dragons, and gained a 1,000 gold lead.

In the mid game dragon contest, Kiin’s Sion initiated the fight, but Peanut’s Poppy was instantly taken down. GEN’s dual carries cleaned up, turning a 1-for-4 into a win, securing the dragon soul and Herald. At 26 minutes, during another dragon fight, Chovy’s Ryze flanked 1v3, scattering HLE’s team. Although HLE got the dragon, GEN wiped them 3-for-5 and claimed the first Baron. Finally, at 30 minutes, GEN easily wiped the enemy in a top lane fight and took the game’s first victory. The highest damage in the first game was dealt by Ruler’s Ezreal.

In the second game, HLE picked Rumble top, Trundle jungle, Akali mid, and Jhin with Alistar bot; GEN chose Gwen top, Xin Zhao jungle, Taliyah mid, and Kai'Sa with Rell bot. During the laning phase, a 2v2 top jungle skirmish saw GEN’s duo perform impressive plays, killing HLE’s top laner and turning it into a 1-for-2 exchange. Early on, HLE destroyed two turrets, and the teams were nearly even in gold.

In the mid game fight for the Baron, Duro’s Rell initiated poorly, but Zeka’s Akali couldn’t finish off Ruler’s Kai'Sa. Instead, GEN counterattacked, scoring a 1-for-5 team fight victory and securing the Baron. At 31 minutes, Zeka’s Akali was instantly killed while flanking, prompting GEN to focus on Baron. Peanut’s Trundle tried to steal but was immediately killed, allowing GEN to take the first Baron smoothly. At 38 minutes, during a dragon fight, Peanut’s Trundle secured the Ocean Soul, but Ruler’s Kai'Sa cleaned up in team fights, leading GEN to a 1-for-5 wipe of HLE and the second game win.

In the fourth game, GEN’s lineup was Viego top, Pantheon jungle, Cassiopeia mid, and Xayah with Rumble bot; HLE’s lineup featured Ornn top, Skarner jungle, Viktor mid, and Lucian with Pyke bot. During laning, both sides traded evenly, each securing one dragon, and HLE took the Rift Herald. Early game gold was roughly equal.

In the mid game, Duro’s Rumble landed a crucial ultimate on Zeus’s Ornn, killing him, enabling GEN to claim both dragon and Baron. At 31 minutes, during a Baron contest, Zeus’s Ornn was focused and instantly killed. GEN chased down and killed Peanut’s Skarner as well, securing the first Baron. At 37 minutes, after HLE caught Kiin’s Viego in the top lane, they attempted Baron. Canyon’s Pantheon engaged, Zeka’s Viktor was instantly killed, and Ruler’s Xayah secured the second Baron, with GEN trading 2-for-3. At 41 minutes, Peanut initiated mid on Canyon’s Pantheon but failed to kill him. GEN then counterattacked, killing four HLE members and clinching the match victory.
