"Another regional dynasty team in LOL" is trending, BLG fully charged, even chaotic BP can sweep easily

Introduction: The S15 season has officially started, and I believe most players have been following the recent matchups closely. The competitions across major regions have basically concluded, and all 17 teams participating in the World Championship have been confirmed. The overall competition level remains quite high. The European and North American champions, which many fans focus on, have all been decided. The European team G2 swept their opponents 3-0 to claim the title easily, marking Caps' more than ten championship wins. Perhaps G2 truly is the king of Europe, with no team able to withstand their pressure. From their BP, it seems like G2 is playing casually. As the Korean teams' nemesis in the Worlds, we hope they can show their true strength.

LOL's another regional dynasty team

Most players are quite familiar with the European and North American regions. As one of the former big four regions, the overall strength of the EU/NA region isn't as strong as many think, especially the Americas. Although it's the birthplace of the game, their competitive level is relatively low. Many teams rely on imported players to progress step by step, with local players not being particularly professional. In contrast, the European region has much better overall strength and even experienced a peak period. After the S8 season, G2 gradually rose again and even won the MSI championship in S9, eliminating SKT in the BO5 series that year.

As the season progressed, the third phase of the EU/NA region has concluded. The matches between G2 and MOKI were not as exciting as expected. Some may not be familiar with MOKI, formerly known as MAD team, which was renamed this season but still has familiar faces. In the first game, both teams picked relatively standard lineups, but there was a clear power gap early on. Monkey easily controlled the pace of the game and gave the opponents very few chances. The first game ended quickly in just 32 minutes.

Similarly, the second game followed the same pattern. With the jungler Lee Sin making picks, G2 gained some early advantages. However, MOKI was not to be underestimated, pulling back the deficit during several mid-game dragon fights. In the end, though, it was the damage from Rell that sealed the victory. In the final game, it seemed G2 played recklessly, ignoring BP strategy and opening up early lane aggression. They comfortably won 15-3 in 28 minutes for a clean 3-0 sweep. After the match, LPL fans were furious—how is it always them? G2 holds absolute dominance in the European region. This might also relate to BLG; after their 2-1 win, their form returned.

With the North American champion Fly now decided, the rankings of all regional teams for Worlds are finalized: LCK teams Gen, HLE, KT, and T1; LPL teams BLG, AL, TES, and IG; European teams G2, MOKI, and FNC; Americas teams Fly, VKS, and 100T; LCO teams CFO, PSG, and TSW. Barring surprises, this will likely be another showdown between LPL and LCK. Judging by current competition strength, HLE is not as stable as expected, and only Gen is a mountain too tough to climb.

Farewell thoughts

G2 has always been the kings of the European region. They previously won the MSI championship, and their competitive achievements are undeniable. Mid laner Caps has won more than a dozen titles. They were once known as the LCK killers, repeatedly defeating LCK teams during the BO1 era. Now it depends on the current competition strength—can they help clear the path for the LPL region?
