VCT: HYUNMIN delivers an outstanding performance with a quad kill, leading DRX to a 2-0 victory over PRX

In the 2025 Valorant Champions global tournament losers' bracket semifinals, DRX secured a 2-0 win against PRX and will compete against FNC in the upcoming match.

Map One: Ascent

Defending team PRX: Sova, Yoru, Viper, Omen, Sage

Attacking team DRX: Yoru, Sova, Omen, KAY/O, Viper

In the first half, PRX scored four consecutive rounds. DRX called a timeout at round 5; Flashback’s Yoru used his ultimate to gather info on site B, allowing DRX to accelerate their push and rush the site successfully. In round 6, Jinggg’s Sage flanked and secured three kills, leading the team to victory. PRX responded with another four-round streak. By halftime, PRX led 9-3 over DRX.

In the second half, DRX won the pistol round. In round 14, HYUNMIN defended four consecutive points, while PRX traded with three rifles to take site B in round 15. DRX then went on a five-round winning streak to tie the score. In round 21, PRX made a desperate play using three ultimates to win site B and took two more rounds to reach match point. At round 23, DRX held mid control and shut down PRX’s attack, winning two rounds to force overtime. In the second round of overtime, DRX attacked and A site’s duel was won, securing the map. After switching sides, DRX quickly rotated to defend, leaving PRX no chance, winning map one 15-13.

Map Two: Lotus

Defending team PRX: KAY/O, Viper, Raze, Yoru, Omen

Attacking team DRX: Yoru, Omen, KAY/O, Viper, Raze

DRX took the pistol round in the first half, but PRX’s rifle rounds pushed back hard, keeping the score close. In round 7, d4v41 defended site C successfully. PRX won two rounds in a row, forcing DRX to call their first timeout. In round 9, BeYN eliminated Jinggg’s Raze ultimate, but DRX managed to win site B. DRX then achieved a four-round streak, ending the half at 7-5.

In the second half, MaKo secured a four-kill with his standard loadout defending site A. In round 15, HYUNMIN took down d4v41 who had his ultimate ready, helping DRX hold site C strongly. DRX went on another four-round winning streak. In round 19, DRX struggled to enter site C, but HYUNMIN used teleport and smoke to flank with teammates, gaining match point. In round 20, DRX defended site B and traded two for three; PRX rotated to plant at site C, but DRX’s defense forced a retake where Jinggg’s Raze got a triple kill to save the round. In round 21, DRX pushed aggressively for info; at site B, MaKo and free1ng won their duels, securing the map and advancing DRX to the losers' bracket final.
