In the Asia Invitational BO3 between BFX and NIP, after two hard-fought games, NIP ended with a 0-2 loss to BFX. At present, LPL teams have been defeated in both encounters against LCK teams!
In the first match, BFX’s composition included Renekton top, Jarvan jungle, Orianna mid, and Lucian with Braum bot; NIP had Qiyana top, Kiana jungle, Akali mid, and Yuumi with Neeko bot. During the laning phase, NIP proactively swapped lanes, leaving Yuumi top against Renekton. BFX’s Jarvan flanked and caught Yuumi, securing first blood. Later, doinb’s Akali dove under tower to solo kill BFX’s Lucian but was traded off. Early on, NIP took down the first tower in the bottom lane, gaining a 2K gold lead.
In the mid-game skirmishes, BFX’s Jarvan successfully pulled enemies apart and, with teammates, eliminated Yuumi. BFX then aggressively contested the Rift Herald. doinb’s Akali entered and assassinated FPX’s Jarvan, but Kiana’s mistake allowed FPX to counterattack, turning a 1-for-4 exchange and securing the Rift Herald. At 22 minutes, NIP secured the Dragon Soul. Later at 31 minutes, BFX caught and killed NIP’s top and support in the jungle, then claimed the first Baron. At 33 minutes, both teams fought over the Dragon; Neeko flanked multiple enemies with her ultimate, enabling NIP to score a 0-for-3 trade and claim the Infernal Soul. At 38 minutes, a jungle clash saw Neeko caught out, Yuumi instantly killed, while BFX’s Lucian scored a triple kill and pushed straight to destroy the base. The highest damage dealer in the first game was Diable’s Lucian, while doinb’s Akali led damage for NIP.
In the second game, NIP’s lineup was Jax top, Lee Sin jungle, Galio mid, and Maokai with Senna bot; BFX fielded Jayce top, Volibear jungle, Taliyah mid, and Ezreal with Renata bot. During laning, BFX’s bot duo dived under tower, but NIP’s bot pair countered with tower support to get a 1-for-2 trade, with Maokai securing first blood. Later, Jax solo killed Jayce. However, Maokai was caught and killed twice in the jungle and bot lane. Early on, BFX took down the first tower in the top lane, with both teams nearly even in gold.
In the mid-game, NIP’s bot duo was killed again, and BFX secured the Rift Herald. At 24 minutes, a bot lane skirmish saw NIP use superior numbers in a 5v4 fight, turning a 0-for-4 exchange and securing the Dragon Soul. At 27 minutes, NIP attempted Baron. Although Lee Sin secured the first Baron, the slow Baron take allowed BFX to arrive and perfectly engage, wiping NIP 0-for-5 and winning the second game.
