S15 Swiss Round: Shad0w's Hecarim Ambush and Ultimate Activation Lead Team to Victory, BLG Defeats FNC for Their First Win

In the second round of the 0-1 group of the 2025 League of Legends World Championship Swiss Round, BLG defeated FNC to claim their first S15 victory.

BLG’s roster: Renekton, Naya Phili, Orianna, Xayah, Rakan

FNC’s roster: Poppy, Vi, Alora, Caitlyn, Morgana

Early in the game, Shad0w’s two ultimate ambushes secured kills that immediately revived BLG’s struggling bottom lane. BLG gained control of two dragons and one Rift Scuttler, establishing a slight lead. At 15 minutes, FNC initiated a fight, but Bin’s Renekton teleported in, and BLG counterattacked to secure a 1-for-3 exchange.

FNC found opportunities in two consecutive engagements, killing Shad0w and ON respectively, disrupting BLG’s push momentum and preventing dragon control. At 22 minutes, BLG rushed down Elder Dragon, while FNC lost many minions due to BLG’s split-push tactics. At 24 minutes, when Elder Dragon respawned, BLG ceded it to FNC but trapped them in their defense. ON’s Rakan initiated, and BLG won a clean 0-for-4 teamfight, securing the first Baron Nashor.

With Baron in hand, BLG entered their familiar rhythm, breaking the mid lane inhibitor and then engaging a teamfight at the bottom inhibitor tower, killing three FNC members. BLG then closed out the game decisively at 27 minutes.
