Hello to all LPL fans and League of Legends summoners, this is Tianxia Game Report.
The second BO3 match in the Swiss stage of the S15 World Championship has reached its second game. Although AL fell behind and faced difficulties mid-game, they turned things around by winning a crucial dragon teamfight.

At the critical moment when Hope died, AL’s top and jungle stepped up, winning the teamfight and successfully leveling the score.
CFO secures first blood by tower diving, AL's dragon play results in an own goal.
During the second game’s draft phase, AL on the blue side locked in the Orianna-Zac mid-jungle combo to enhance Tarzan’s impact on the match. The bottom lane chose the classic Bomb + Nami duo, while the top lane picked Volibear to coordinate with Zac for an engage combo. The key to the lineup was the jungle Zac’s tempo, quickly creating synergy and working with Bomb to apply pressure for tower sieges.

CFO responded by selecting Rumble top, paired with Akali and Pantheon in the mid and jungle, maximizing mid-game fighting power. The bottom lane featured a brutal combo focusing on Pantheon’s crowd control for fast pickoffs.
At the start, neither team swapped lanes, and under normal laning conditions, CFO’s bottom lane pushed first. Pantheon then orchestrated a tower dive to secure a kill on Bomb. AL’s mid lane gained some health and wave control advantage.
In the first dragon contest, CFO rushed in first, with AL following up for a teamfight. However, coordination faltered immediately: the female tank initiated on the jungler, but the mid-jungle duo failed to follow, allowing Akali to dive in and secure a kill. Later in the dragon pit fight, AL made another mistake; Bomb’s W caused Volibear’s ultimate to miss.

Although AL achieved a 2-for-3 trade, CFO gained the initiative and secured the dragon. Shortly after, AL took a Rift Scuttler, but CFO engaged with Rumble leading, dying but dealing heavy damage, successfully turning the fight into a 1-for-2 and taking both Rift Scuttlers.
AL counterattacks at the dragon, successfully securing Elder Dragon.
CFO claimed the second dragon, while AL forced a tower dive top to kill Akali as a resource trade.
During the subsequent Rift Herald contest, top laners battled intensely, but AL grouped first and secured it. Then, at the crucial third dragon fight, AL used the Herald to take down the mid turret and positioned themselves near the dragon pit.
CFO tried to distract AL’s forces in mid lane. AL’s dragon attempt was slow, and Akali teleported to the front to start the teamfight. AL immediately caught the isolated Rumble and burst him down. CFO reinforcements arrived and heavily damaged AL, but in the second wave of skill exchanges, Saint Gunner’s ultimate entry with teammates swept the battlefield, turning the fight into a 1-for-4 comeback.
At 21 minutes, CFO’s jungler initiated a strong engage in the river, quickly reducing AL’s numbers and killing Orianna. Zac also died shortly after. AL counterattacked, killing one opponent, then CFO started Elder Dragon. AL came to defend; Saint Gunner entered, killing Pantheon but dying in the process. AL’s defense held, and both teams regrouped.
Later, Hope made a mistake, got caught alone and was killed. CFO began rushing the dragon, but AL, despite being outnumbered, successfully contested and stole the dragon, forcing Akali to use her flash. With momentum, AL forced Lucian’s cooldown and killed Pantheon, securing the Elder Dragon.
Saint Gunner’s crucial engage helps AL even the score.
After taking Elder Dragon, CFO attempted a forced pick in the jungle, heavily damaging the female tank and chasing, but AL countered successfully. The female tank, low on health, locked down enemies, and Saint Gunner entered with explosive damage, clearing the fight and securing Baron Nashor.
While pushing with Baron buff, AL initiated a fight and ended the game, leveling the series.
In my opinion, this game was a classic battle of early-to-mid game composition versus a late-game lineup. AL’s mishandling of the early dragon fight caused them to fall behind mid-game, but through smart map control of the Rift Herald and precise teamfight execution, they managed to reverse the situation.
In the team’s moment of crisis, AL’s top and jungle stepped up, with Tarzan’s key dragon steal and Saint Gunner’s multiple clutch engages playing a major role in securing the victory.
After this win, we hope AL performs even better in the deciding game, especially with Tarzan needing to pick heroes with stronger proactive abilities. Tarzan’s performance will directly influence AL’s chances of winning.
