AL2-1 defeats CFO to advance to the quarterfinals! The Excavator player from AL is as fierce as a war god, while Doggo gave his best effort.

During the S15 World Championship BO3 clash between CFO and AL, the match went to three games, with AL winning 2-1 to move forward into the quarterfinals!

In the opening game, CFO picked Sion for top lane, Wukong for jungle, Ahri mid, and Tristana plus Nami bot; AL chose Kled top, Maokai jungle, Ryze mid, and Yuumi with Aphelios bot. The laning phase saw back-and-forth trading with each side taking down one turret, CFO secured the Rift Herald, but AL led early by 1K gold.

In the mid game, CFO initiated on Elder Dragon, and after TES arrived, a chaotic fight broke out. HongQ’s Ahri caught four opponents, while shanks’ Ryze attempted a flank but was killed. CFO eliminated four AL members and claimed Elder Dragon. At 30 minutes, CFO went for Baron, but Tarzan’s Maokai flashed to steal the first Baron. Despite this, AL lost the ensuing team fight; HongQ’s Ahri cleaned up, and CFO achieved a 3-for-5 team wipe, securing the Dragon Soul. Finally, at 37 minutes, AL started a fight in mid lane but failed to kill Doggo’s Tristana. CFO’s top Sion ulted directly onto hope’s Yuumi, killing her, then wiped AL’s team to win the first game. The highest damage dealer in game one was Doggo’s Tristana, while AL’s top damage came from hope’s Yuumi.

In the second game, AL picked Anivia top, Xin Zhao jungle, Orianna mid, and Ziggs with Leona bot; CFO responded with Rumble top, Pantheon jungle, Akali mid, and Lucian with Braum bot. The laning phase was even with a 5-5 kill score. CFO secured two dragons, AL took the Rift Herald, and early gold was roughly equal between the teams.

At 23 minutes in the mid game, CFO caught and killed hope’s Ziggs in the bot lane, then attempted to take dragon, but Tarzan’s Xin Zhao stole it. AL then pushed for Elder Dragon; after junjia’s Pantheon was spotted and killed in the jungle, AL successfully secured Elder Dragon. At 27 minutes, CFO initiated a fight in their jungle trying to focus Kael’s Leona, but AL’s Anivia disrupted the backline and shanks’ Orianna landed a perfect ultimate. AL traded one for four and took the first Baron. By 30 minutes, AL killed two CFO members at the inhibitor and tied the series. The MVP went to shanks’ Orianna.

In the third game, CFO’s lineup was Renekton top, Vi jungle, Taliyah mid, and Miss Fortune with Nautilus bot; AL fielded Rumble top, Troll jungle, LeBlanc mid, and Jhin with Alistar bot. AL pushed down the first turret in the bot lane, while CFO secured the Rift Herald. Early gold was roughly even.

At 21 minutes mid game, CFO started on Elder Dragon, but AL’s Rumble TP’d in, disrupting CFO’s formation. AL wiped CFO and took Elder Dragon. At 28 minutes, CFO’s Renekton was heavily damaged, AL claimed the Dragon Soul, and at 29 minutes, CFO set an ambush in their jungle. Doggo’s Miss Fortune tried to ult but was interrupted. AL then executed a flawless team fight, wiping CFO and securing the match victory.
