GEN1-0 easily defeats T1! Chovy's Orianna dominates Faker, dealing massive damage in team fights

During the S15 World Championship Swiss round BO1 match between T1 and GEN, GEN emerged victorious with a 1-0 score, successfully taking the win. Chovy showed strong performance by suppressing Faker in lane and dealing huge damage in team fights, making a key impact.

In this game, GEN banned Bard, Neeko, Qiyana, Caitlyn, and Sivir, opting for Sion top, Xin Zhao jungle, Orianna mid, and Aphelios with Poppy bot lane; T1 banned Lucian, Xayah, Galio, Seraphine, and Azir, choosing Anivia top, Wukong jungle, Aurelion mid, and Kai'Sa with Alistar bot lane.

Both teams played cautiously in the early game with no kills occurring. Each side secured one dragon, and GEN took the Rift Herald, keeping the gold even. At 17 minutes, GEN used the Rift Herald to destroy T1’s first mid turret. Then during a dragon contest, Faker’s Aurelion made a misstep and was instantly killed. Although Gumayusi’s Kai'Sa took down Ruler’s Aphelios, T1 lacked damage, and GEN counterattacked with a 1-for-5 team wipe. At 20 minutes, during the Elder Dragon fight, T1 initiated, but Doran’s Anivia ultimate was interrupted, and he was quickly eliminated. GEN then kited and killed three T1 members, securing the Elder Dragon.

At 22 minutes, GEN initiated a fight mid; Gumayusi’s Kai'Sa was immediately taken down, but GEN chased and wiped T1 again. At 24 minutes, GEN took the dragon without any damage. At 25 minutes, a skirmish broke out in the jungle where Duro’s Poppy knocked Oner’s Wukong away. Despite T1’s desperate efforts to kill Ruler’s Aphelios, Chovy’s Orianna used his Stopwatch to avoid damage and unleashed massive damage, resulting in a 1-for-4 exchange and GEN securing the first Baron.

Finally, at 27 minutes, GEN wiped T1 once more in the top lane and comfortably won the match with a dominant 23-3 kill score.
