The League of Legends S15 World Championship Swiss Stage has concluded. Among the 16 teams this year, some exceeded expectations while others greatly disappointed. Notably, the two all-Chinese rosters stood out. The LCP region’s top seed CFO not only defeated T1 in a BO1 match but also went the distance with AL in the playoffs, eventually sweeping FLY to reach the quarterfinals. Their overall performance was fully on par with the Korean and Chinese teams.

As for our region’s BLG, it was quite frustrating. They didn’t face any LCK teams during the Swiss Stage and before meeting TES, they played four European and American teams, ending with a 2-2 record that pushed them into a tough spot. They then suffered a crushing loss in the internal match and were eliminated in the round of 16. In terms of performance, BLG was not even comparable to TOP Esports, let alone AL who swept 3-0. The word “disappointing” doesn’t even begin to cover BLG’s showing.

After the quarterfinalists were confirmed, Hupu launched a “Dream Team” best lineup vote. After a day and a half of voting, the results are out. Let’s take a look at who fans believe performed best in each role. Starting with the top lane, Santas secured a spot with 39.3% of the votes. Flandre’s inclusion is quite reasonable, considering AL advanced with a 3-0 sweep.

Regarding match performance, Santas was actually more consistent than Zeus. In the current meta, a top laner who can hold steady during lane swaps without falling behind and still contribute in team fights is rare. The jungler selected also comes from AL—Tayzan needs no introduction. He leads in average damage per minute, damage share, and average team fight damage, with a total vote share of 70.2%.

The mid lane spot was equally undisputed. Chovy has reached his peak form this year, standing out among mid laners in both laning and team fighting. Although Old Li performed well in the later matches, earning four MVP awards and leading mid lane stats, his loss to CFO was a heavy blow. Despite receiving 17% of the votes, he was decisively outvoted by Doinb’s 58.3%, which is quite understandable.

For the bottom lane AD carry position, Gen’s Ruler made the list with a 50.7% vote share, which was expected. His performance in the AD role was far ahead of others. The only players who could challenge him were Doggo and Viper. Doggo came in second with 18.9% of the votes. Had CFO advanced with a 3-0 or 3-1 score, many fans might have chosen him as the best AD.

Finally, the support position also went to AL’s Karl. He was the only player at this world championship to convince critics, haters, and fans alike. Karl’s performance on Poppy in the AL vs. GEN match was nothing short of extraordinary—interrupting Ruler’s ultimate with W and flashing in for crucial hammer strikes during team fights. His flawless play led AL to victory over GEN, making his inclusion in the best lineup well deserved.

Among the five positions, four are Korean players, with only Santas being domestic. The LCK region’s dominance continues unabated. For next year’s Asian Games, if LCK fields this best lineup—swapping the top lane for Zeus or Kiin and Old Li as a substitute mid—it will be tough for our region’s domestic players to assemble a roster capable of challenging LCK. Especially considering there are still Xiao K and Da O as backups.

If this best lineup were voted on internationally, Old Li might have made the list due to Faker’s large fanbase. However, the votes from our region’s audience have been quite objective, focusing on results and match performance. Faker has many fans domestically, but most viewers still chose Chovy.
So, what do you think? Is this best lineup reasonable?
