Although the League of Legends S15 World Championship is not over yet, the LPL winter transfer window is already stirring beneath the surface. According to insiders, the transfer rules have been drastically changed this year. The previous system of mutual selection between players and clubs will be replaced by an "auction" format, where players in the free pool will be signed by the clubs offering the highest bids. If bids are tied, club points will determine priority, with teams having higher points given the first right to sign.

These so-called points are based on league performance—the better the results, the higher the points. If this rule is implemented, only a handful of teams will be able to assemble a "super team." For example, JDG had an average season this year, so their points might only be enough to sign one or two top-tier players. The official adjustment seems designed to benefit the region by concentrating strong players into one or two elite teams to compete for the championship.

The exact details of the transfer window rules are still unclear. Players who have signed long-term contracts are likely unaffected, and it is uncertain whether the reforms will be implemented. However, some transfer news has already surfaced. Recently, Agent Beichuan revealed that IG's mid and top have renewed, while the other three positions remain unconfirmed. Additionally, WBG’s bottom lane player, "Deng Huang," is likely not playing anymore.

Besides that, the provincial team CFO, currently competing in the knockout stage, has attracted attention from many teams for their dual carry players. Agent Beichuan disclosed that just from what he knows, four teams are interested. It seems CFO will be disbanded after the World Championship. Doggo’s performance this year has been outstanding, and HongQ, only 18 years old, is very promising. Whether they will leave remains uncertain and will be clearer after the World Championship ends.

LNG team manager Zuo Wu recently appeared on an esports talk show, where he revealed that Scout had already cleared all his debts by the end of last year, including those owed to Gazi and Jiejie. It appears JDG indeed advanced a significant amount of salary to his junior. When discussing players borrowing money, Zuo Wu expressed astonishment, saying that Ga’la even used his own savings to support his junior so he could participate in the World Championship.

Because Gala is with IG, Zuo Wu hopes IG can beat T1 in the play-in stage. He described Gala in just four words: truly great. Honestly, players like Gazi are hard not to like—both their character and skills are top-notch, and they work very hard. Hopefully, during this transfer window, he can find a suitable new team. If he really wants to win the championship, staying with IG might be difficult since the top and mid lanes are getting older.

After BLG was eliminated in the round of 16, top laner Bin faced widespread online criticism and backlash. Some even used last year’s documentary to call for Bin’s retirement. Amid the criticism, Doinb stood up to support Bin: "You are our hero, the future of the LPL. Keep going!" When questioned by fans about possible match-fixing, Doinb retorted on the spot: "Besides Bin, who else can become a player of JKL’s caliber?"

Doinb said: Apart from Bin, there is no other new-generation player with achievements, popularity, and influence. For the LPL to continue developing, someone must succeed JKL; otherwise, when TheShy and JKL retire, the LPL will truly be finished. Although Bin has some negative attention, so do Uzi and Brother. Negative attention is still attention. Honestly, Doinb’s words make a lot of sense.

Many criticized Bin after BLG’s loss, but Bin has grown from this defeat. In an interview shared by the media, Bin admitted his mentality was immature and sometimes too self-centered, neglecting others’ feelings. Hearing this from Bin himself was surprising. Hopefully, he can adjust his mindset and come back stronger next year.
So, what do you think? Will Gazi stay with IG?
