Faker remains undefeated against the LPL! He might achieve a thirteen-game winning streak! He has eliminated Xiaohu four times!

In the quarterfinals of the 2025 League of Legends World Championship, LPL’s AL lost 2-3 to LCK’s T1, stopping at the top eight! Yet, this battle was not just an ordinary China-Korea confrontation but a chance to make history, as Faker and his team had previously secured eleven consecutive wins over the LPL, maintaining their undefeated myth against our region! Although T1’s form this year was already poor, and the current patch and fearless draft mode favored us, we still faced an insurmountable mountain! After winning this match, Faker remains the undefeated legend; in the World Championship knockout stage, he has reached twelve straight wins against the LPL. Despite his aging and a hand injury, when it comes to Worlds, he seems to have endless energy and never stops performing!

Of course, AL did deliver an incredibly exciting best-of-five series. They have their own style and strategy and even reached a 2-1 match point! The synergy between jungler Tarzan and support Karl was truly the team’s beacon and hope. Most importantly, Saint’s performance was outstanding; he poured his heart into almost every game. His Rumble solo kill on Doran in game three, the Sion in game four, and the Aatrox in game five—he truly carried the team forward! This patch suits him well since he is naturally a “versatile” top laner, able to play whatever the team needs and still perform effectively. It’s just a pity! AL played very well, but the team still has some weaknesses!

After the match, Riot officially showcased the LPL mid laners Faker has defeated in Worlds knockout stages, from Lu Benwei in S3, through three consecutive RNG teams, to iG in this year’s play-ins, and Shanks from AL. Faker has surpassed many LPL mid lane prodigies. Notably, he has beaten Xiaohu four times in Worlds knockout rounds, truly earning the title of a “strict father”! Next in the semifinals, T1 will face TES. If AL at their peak couldn’t overcome this mountain, can TES do it? Considering their performance against the LCK throughout the year, it will likely be very difficult! T1 is highly probable to secure a thirteenth consecutive win over the LPL! Of course, when everyone doubts TES, they might pull off an upset — let’s look forward to that!
