In the S15 World Championship semifinals BO5 between TES and T1, after three hard-fought matches, TES lost 0-3 to T1, finishing in the top four and exiting the tournament! T1 moved on to the finals to compete against KT for this year’s championship.

In the first game, T1’s lineup was Aatrox top, Xin Zhao jungle, Orianna mid, and Varus with Rell bot; TES had Qiyana top, Wukong jungle, Akali mid, and Sivir with Rakan bot. During the laning phase, TES secured first blood in the jungle and took three Rift Scuttlers, while T1 secured one dragon and the Rift Herald, leaving both teams even in early game economy.
In the mid game, T1 took the dragon soul uncontested. At 25 minutes, TES initiated on Elder Dragon; Doran’s Aatrox used ultimate on Kanavi’s Wukong, killing him. T1 traded 0 for 2, then secured Elder Dragon and the first Baron. At 28 minutes, a 4v4 skirmish erupted in the jungle where Hang’s Rakan was instantly killed. T1 won the fight 2 for 4 and claimed the Cloud Dragon Soul. Ultimately, at 30 minutes, T1 pushed from the jungle to the base and easily secured the first game victory. Faker’s Orianna dealt the highest damage in this match.

In the second game, TES fielded Aphelios top, Trundle jungle, Ryze mid, and Aphelios with Nami bot; T1 picked Camille top, Jarvan IV jungle, Galio mid, and Aphelios with Nami bot. During the laning phase, TES’s bot lane and mid laner dove under tower to kill Gumayusi’s Kai’Sa, but T1’s teammates responded quickly to take down JKL’s Aphelios. Early game economy remained balanced between the teams.
In the mid game, TES started a fight on Elder Dragon, but when T1 arrived, TES retreated. However, Keria’s Neeko initiated perfectly, enabling T1 to wipe TES and secure Elder Dragon. At 23 minutes, TES’s mid and jungle attempted to catch T1’s top, but T1 decisively countered, killing two TES players in a numbers advantage. TES then ambushed Faker’s Galio in the jungle, but Faker used his ultimate to survive. T1 killed TES’s bot duo and secured the dragon soul. At 24 minutes, T1 chased TES into the jungle mid lane and wiped them out again to claim the first Baron. Finally, at 26 minutes, T1 initiated under TES’s tower in the bot lane, killed four TES members, and comfortably won the second game. MVP was awarded to Keria’s Neeko.

In the third game, TES picked Ornn top, Qiyana jungle, Alora mid, and Draven with Taric bot; T1 chose Sion top, Pantheon jungle, Malzahar mid, and Ashe with Renata bot. During laning, Kanavi’s Qiyana ganked top, killing Doran’s Sion, but 369’s Ornn also took tower hits and was traded off. At 10 minutes, TES’s three-man group ganked bot, killing Gumayusi’s Ashe, but Hang’s Taric was traded, and JKL’s Draven failed to secure kills. At 14 minutes, both teams fought over dragon; T1 landed multiple skills on Kanavi’s Qiyana, killing her and winning the dragon fight, wiping TES. Early on, T1 destroyed TES’s first bot tower, secured two dragons, and led by 2,000 gold.
In the mid game, TES caught and killed Faker’s Malzahar in the jungle, but T1’s teammates quickly collapsed and killed three TES players in return, then took Elder Dragon. At 25 minutes, T1 secured the Alchemist Dragon Soul without taking damage. At 27 minutes, T1 started Baron; Kanavi’s Qiyana was instantly killed in the jungle, and T1 claimed the first Baron. Finally, at 28 minutes, T1 wiped TES at the base and secured the match victory.
