Peanut predicts LPL will win the championship next year! Knight misses out on the best mid laner spot, BDD: Chanks played the best

The League of Legends S15 World Championship final is about to begin. Recently, Riot shared the historical match record between T1 and KT. These two teams have faced each other 70 times, with T1 winning 53 matches and KT only 17. Based solely on head-to-head stats, T1 clearly dominates KT. However, this year BDD is in outstanding form and even replaced Chovy, so the outcome of the final is still uncertain.

In addition, Riot also shared data about Faker’s World Championship finals appearances. Faker has reached the finals 8 times (including this year), winning 5 of the first 7, giving him a championship rate of 71.4%. If he wins again this year, his win rate will rise even higher. Honestly, 7 finals and 5 titles is quite impressive. It remains to be seen if BDD can lower his idol’s finals win rate just a little this year.

Riot recently posted a poll showing a big gap between BDD and Faker. 79% of fans support Faker, while BDD only has 21%. In the other four positions, T1 also overwhelmingly leads, with Lillia receiving 90% support and Doran the lowest at 78%. Clearly, most viewers expect T1 to be this year’s champion, but BDD himself is very confident about this BO5 final.

BDD was invited to shoot a video on “Who is the strongest mid laner,” where each of the five major regions picked one player. For LCP, BDD chose HongQ; for LEC, he picked Caps; for LCS, Quid; and for LCK, he didn’t pick Faker but himself. With that confidence, BDD might really deliver a superstar performance in the final. Still, for the historical greatest mid laner, he chose Faker.

When it came to our LPL region, BDD did not pick the top four semifinalists like Xiaonaiyou or the well-known Zuo Shou, but instead chose Chanks. KT swept Top Esports 2-0 in the Swiss-style qualifiers, so BDD’s opinion that Xiaonaiyou isn’t strong is reasonable. As for Zuo Shou, who already reached the round of 16, the best mid laner spot is definitely out of reach for him. Chanks has performed excellently internationally and took T1 to a full five-game series, so his choice makes sense.

Regardless of whether Faker or BDD wins this BO5, it will be a memorable story in the esports community. If Faker lifts the trophy, he becomes a six-time world champion. If BDD stands on the podium, it will be the culmination of a decade of hard work. However, this has little to do with our region. Besides Deng Ziqi, the final’s commentators and hosts will mainly be Chinese like Guan Zeyuan and Liu Hang, plus the live audience.

Although this year’s outcome is already decided, next year’s LPL is still worth looking forward to. The official has adjusted the transfer window rules to build top-tier teams aiming for the world championship. Even HLE’s jungler Peanut believes the LPL will win the championship next year. Recently on stream, Peanut joked that there is a world championship superstition: every year he attends Worlds, the champion is from LCK.

“If I’m not playing next year (due to military service), then the LPL will win. Brothers, big things will happen to LCK in the future.” Although Peanut said this humorously, the LPL really needs a championship next year. Without it, the league’s popularity could drop to rock bottom. The officials understand this, which is why they reformed the transfer period, hoping to form several teams with real title-winning potential this winter.

Conclusion:

According to Zhu Kai’s revelations, LPL executives are very dissatisfied with the performance of this year’s four teams, which is why they made bold changes to the transfer rules. However, the number of top-tier LPL players is limited, and many are declining in form. If they can’t acquire elite Korean imports, winning the championship next year will still be quite challenging.

So, what do you think? Does the LPL have a chance next year?
