S15 World Championship: Achieving a three-peat, successfully defending the sixth title! T1 defeats KT 3-2 to claim the championship!

In the 2025 League of Legends World Championship grand final, T1 defeated KT 3-2, earning the S15 World Championship crown.

Game 1

KT: Rumble, Wukong, Ryze, Ashe, Braum

T1: Aphelios, Xin Zhao, Taliyah, Varus, Poppy

At the start of the game, around 3 minutes in, KT’s jungler and support caught Oner’s Xin Zhao, with Bdd’s Ryze teleporting to finish the kill. The bot lane duel was intense; Keria’s Poppy chased down KT’s Ashe for a kill, but KT’s jungler and support then killed T1’s Varus on the top lane. Cuzz’s Wukong secured the first dragon and three Rift Scuttlers. At 10 minutes, Keria’s Poppy roamed top to assist Doran’s Aphelios to try to catch KT’s Rumble, but KT’s Rumble skillfully dodged and waited for teammates to arrive, turning the fight to kill T1’s top and support. T1’s early game momentum was completely disrupted. With a wave disadvantage on top and Rift Herald controlled by KT, Doran’s Aphelios tried to TP top to farm, but KT caught him after finishing the Herald and destroyed the first turret, dominating all early resources.

At 18 minutes, during a crucial dragon teamfight, Keria’s Poppy’s steadfast initiation stopped Cuzz’s Wukong from starting the fight. T1 responded with a flawless 4-for-0 exchange, breaking KT’s dragon control and reversing the early disadvantage. At 20 minutes, during the Elder Dragon contest, Doran’s Aphelios ulted into KT’s backline, killing Rumble and Ashe. The teams continued to skirmish, with T1 successfully eliminating KT’s remaining four players and Oner securing the Elder Dragon with Smite. When the dragon respawned, Keria’s Poppy again initiated, disrupting KT’s formation. T1 won the fight and took the dragon. KT was outmatched in subsequent fights, and T1 closed out the first game.

Game 2

KT: Rek'Sai, Vi, Maokai, Ezreal, Neeko

T1: Sion, Jarvan IV, Sylas, Sivir, Lulu

At 4 minutes, Cuzz’s Vi ganked bot lane, diving with teammates to kill T1’s Sivir. At 9 minutes, a 2v2 mid jungle skirmish ended with Cuzz’s Vi killing both T1’s mid and jungle. KT failed to control the first two dragons early, while T1 secured two dragons by 13 minutes, taking the initiative in the game.

At 15 minutes, T1’s mid and jungle made a proactive move to catch Bdd’s Maokai top, but KT’s quick support response killed T1’s duo and then took Rift Herald. At 18 minutes, Cuzz’s Vi was caught and killed instantly by T1, followed by a dragon teamfight where T1 eliminated four KT players. After respawns, the teams fought over the dragon again, with KT winning a 2-for-5 exchange. Bdd’s Maokai output was high in the next two fights, while Faker seemed pressured, and T1 struggled to handle Bdd.

At 25 minutes, Doran’s Sion ambushed KT’s Ezreal in mid brush, but KT lost a member and chose to use the “Darkness” tactic to secure Baron, preventing T1 from taking the dragon. The fight extended to 33 minutes, when KT caught Faker’s Sylas and won a decisive teamfight, securing Baron. KT used Baron to push down T1’s mid inhibitor turret. At 37 minutes, KT won the Elder Dragon fight, took the dragon soul, and destroyed the bot lane inhibitor. At 40 minutes, the second Baron spawned; Doran’s Sion was focused and killed by KT, who then took Baron and pushed down T1’s top inhibitor. With all three inhibitors down, T1 struggled to defend, and KT won the second game.

Game 3

T1: Renekton, Viego, Viktor, Gwen, Rakan

KT: Qiyana, Dr. Mundo, Syndra, Corki, Alistar

In the early 6 minutes, T1 took the dragon but was chased by KT. KT’s dual carry duo combined to kill Faker’s Viktor. Then Doran’s Renekton overextended and was killed by Cuzz’s Mundo, but this death allowed Oner to secure three Rift Scuttlers. At 11 minutes, during a dragon fight, KT lost a member first, but Cuzz stole the dragon and with deokdam chased down and killed four T1 players.

At 16 minutes, Keria’s Rakan engaged on KT’s Corki, followed by Oner’s Viego joining in to take down two KT players. KT controlled dragons and caught enemies while defending mid lane. At 23 minutes, during a dragon skirmish, Oner secured the dragon but KT won a 3-for-0 teamfight and took the Elder Dragon. At 26 minutes, KT successfully forced a fight at Baron, killing two T1 players. KT then turned to Baron, and despite T1 fighting 3v5 desperately, KT secured kills and Baron.

KT pushed down T1’s bot inhibitor turret. At 33 minutes, T1 caught KT’s Qiyana top, but KT’s reinforcements arrived and a teamfight broke out, resulting in a 3-for-3 trade. Cuzz then secured the dragon soul for KT. KT continued forcing fights around Baron, wiping T1 and winning the third game to reach match point.

Game 4

T1: Gragas, Nocturne, Anivia, Kalista, Renata Glasc

KT: Mordekaiser, Trundle, Cassiopeia, Caitlyn, Tahm Kench

At 5 minutes, KT’s mid, jungle, and support coordinated to kill Faker’s Anivia mid. KT then attempted dragon control but Oner’s Nocturne stole it. At 11 minutes, Oner secured another dragon, and in a teamfight Bdd’s Cassiopeia petrified three enemies. Although KT lost the dragon, they traded 1-for-2 in the fight.

At 16 minutes, Oner stole another dragon, but T1 lost a teamfight 1-for-3 against KT. At 20 minutes, during the Elder Dragon contest, T1 used Xin Zhao and Kalista’s spear to secure the Elder Dragon. At 22 minutes, during another dragon fight, Doran’s Gragas secured the dragon, and T1 gained the water dragon soul. Xin Zhao and Gragas fully output damage in teamfights, defeating KT.

T1 then forced a Baron fight, killing KT’s Mordekaiser. Using the water dragon soul and Baron pressure, T1 eliminated three KT members and took Baron. At 29 minutes, a mid lane teamfight with Doran’s quadra kill allowed T1 to push directly and tie the series 2-2.

Game 5

KT: Yorick, Sejuani, Charizard, Ziggs, Nautilus

T1: Camille, Pantheon, Galio, Miss Fortune, Leona

At 3 minutes, Oner’s Pantheon roamed top to help Doran’s Camille secure first blood. T1’s top-jungle duo kept pressuring KT’s top Yorick, killing him repeatedly. Doran’s Camille rotated bot with jungle and support to kill KT’s Nautilus, but Ziggs’ ultimate secured a kill on Keria’s Leona.

T1 focused on Doran’s Camille lane, repeatedly breaking through KT’s Yorick. At 17 minutes, KT took the first dragon, but Doran’s Camille led T1 to initiate fights. Bdd’s Charizard secured two bounties for KT. At 20 minutes, KT caught Doran’s Camille mid and pushed down T1’s first mid turret.

T1 quickly rushed the Elder Dragon, then wiped KT in a teamfight and secured the dragon. With their advantage, T1 defeated KT, achieving a historic three-peat and winning their sixth World Championship title.
