The S15 World Championship final between KT and T1 was a full five-game series, after which T1 defeated KT 3-2 to win the world championship! Faker accomplished his sixth world championship title!

In the first game, KT’s roster included Rumble top, Wukong jungle, Ryze mid, and Ashe plus Braum bot; T1 had Aphelios top, Xin Zhao jungle, Taliyah mid, and Varus with Poppy bot. During the laning phase, KT gained momentum, securing kills on Xin Zhao in the river, with BDD’s Ryze grabbing first blood. Subsequently, T1’s bot lane made a mistake, allowing KT to trade one for two. KT’s top and jungle support responded quickly to secure a zero-for-two exchange. Early on, KT destroyed the first tower on the top lane, claimed two dragons, and led economically by 2K gold.
In the mid-game, both teams contested the Rift Herald. Doran’s Aphelios aggressively targeted Deokdam’s Ashe, and after T1 secured a two-for-none trade, they pulled back to contest the Rift Herald. KT’s other members tried to intervene but were wiped out by T1, who successfully secured the Rift Herald. At 28 minutes, a mid-lane skirmish broke out: although Oner’s Xin Zhao was instantly eliminated initiating the fight, BDD’s Ryze was chased down by Keria’s Poppy. T1 turned the fight into a one-for-three exchange and claimed the first Baron. Later at 35 minutes, T1 took the second Baron. Doran’s Aphelios initiated a fight again, Deokdam’s Ashe was quickly taken down, and T1 executed a clean zero-for-four team fight to win the second game. Gumayusi’s Varus dealt the highest damage in the first game.

In the second game, KT’s lineup was Excavator top, Vi jungle, Malzahar mid, and Ezreal with Neeko bot; T1 fielded Sion top, Jarvan IV jungle, Sylas mid, and Sivir with Lulu bot. KT maintained strong momentum in the laning phase, with Cuzz’s Vi roaming to assist frequently. T1’s attempts to catch enemies were repeatedly countered and turned around, allowing KT to take down the first tower on the top lane and gain a 3K gold lead early on.
In the mid-game, both teams fought for the dragon. Faker on Sylas initiated the fight, killing Deokdam’s Ezreal, but KT’s top, mid, and support cleaned up to wipe out T1 in a two-for-five exchange. At 33 minutes, T1 invaded KT’s jungle, but KT grouped to kill Faker’s Sylas and then chased down Keria’s Lulu, securing the first Baron. At 37 minutes, a jungle skirmish erupted: Doran’s Sion started the fight, Peter’s Neeko counter-engaged with an ultimate hitting three, resulting in a two-for-two trade and KT securing the Chemtech Drake soul. At 40 minutes, Doran’s Sion misplayed in the jungle and was instantly killed, allowing KT to take the third Baron. Finally, at 42 minutes, KT wiped T1 on their high ground and won the second game. MVP was awarded to PerfecT’s Excavator.

In the third game, T1’s lineup featured Renekton top, Viego jungle, Viktor mid, and Xayah with Rakan bot; KT’s team was Quasanti top, Mundo jungle, Syndra mid, and Corki with Alistar bot. The laning phase was back and forth, with each team securing one dragon. T1 claimed the Rift Herald and held a slight 1K gold lead early.
In the mid-game river fight for the dragon, although T1 secured the dragon, their top and support failed to kill Deokdam’s Corki. Gumayusi’s Xayah was killed on the side lane, and KT took the Rift Herald. At 27 minutes, Doran’s Renekton made a mistake and was killed in the jungle; KT then chased down Gumayusi’s Xayah and secured the first Baron. At 33 minutes, Doran’s Renekton flashed to initiate a fight, but Oner’s Viego was instantly killed. Despite a three-for-three exchange, Cuzz’s Mundo, at full health, secured the Chemtech Drake soul. At 36 minutes, KT failed to kill Cuzz’s Mundo quickly, and KT was counter-engaged and wiped out by T1, who won the third game.

In the fourth game, T1’s lineup was Gragas top, Nocturne jungle, Anivia mid, and Kalista with Renata bot; KT’s team consisted of Mordekaiser top, Trundle jungle, Cassiopeia mid, and Jhin with Thresh bot. The laning phase was competitive, with T1 destroying the first tower on the top lane, securing two dragons, and gaining a 1K gold lead.
At 20 minutes in the mid-game, KT aggressively contested the Rift Herald. PerfecT’s Mordekaiser ulted onto Gumayusi’s Kalista but was killed in the process, allowing T1 to secure the Rift Herald. At 23 minutes, both teams fought for the dragon; T1 disrupted KT’s formation, Faker’s Gragas executed a perfect engage, Doran’s Gragas secured the Ocean Soul, and Gumayusi’s Kalista cleaned up as T1 wiped KT. At 25 minutes, PerfecT’s Mordekaiser ulted onto Faker’s Anivia but was killed again. T1 then aggressively took Baron; KT tried to stop them, but T1 initiated a fight, killing three KT members and securing the Baron. At 29 minutes, BDD’s Cassiopeia ulted onto three players but lacked damage, while Gumayusi’s Kalista scored a quadra kill. T1 wiped KT and won the match. MVP was awarded to Oner’s Nocturne.

In the fifth game, KT’s lineup was Yorick top, Sejuani jungle, Sion mid, and Ziggs with Nautilus bot; T1 fielded Camille top, Pantheon jungle, Galio mid, and Miss Fortune with Leona bot. Early on, T1 heavily targeted PerfecT’s Yorick, killing him four times in succession, gaining a 2K gold lead.
At 21 minutes in the mid-game, T1 secured the Rift Herald before KT could respond, and KT’s attempt to chase back resulted in T1 turning the fight and wiping KT. At 28 minutes, both teams fought for the dragon; T1 fully committed to kill BDD’s small dragon, securing a one-for-four exchange and taking the first Baron. Gumayusi’s Miss Fortune dealt 7,000 damage. Later at 34 minutes, T1 secured the Wind Drake soul. At 36 minutes, a jungle skirmish broke out; T1 initiated the fight, instantly killing BDD’s small dragon and wiping KT, securing the match victory.
