BLG lost again! Their three-game losing streak ends their Demacia Cup run! They fell 1-2 to WBG, with Viper having a disastrous lane phase against ELK.

In the second phase of the Demacia Cup group stage, BLG and WBG played a BO3, with neither team able to advance to the quarterfinals. After three intense matches, WBG won 2-1 over BLG. BLG concluded their Demacia Cup run with three consecutive defeats. Given that Knight was missing and coach Danny was absent, it remains unclear how BLG will fare in the spring season.

In the first game, BLG’s lineup was NAR top, JAYCE jungle, LEBlanc mid, and Aphelios with Rell bot. At 2 minutes, Xiaohu’s Syndra solo killed yxl’s LeBlanc, giving WBG the first blood. At 12 minutes, Bin’s NAR solo killed Zika’s Renekton top. Early on, BLG took down the first tower on the top lane and secured two dragons, with both teams nearly even in gold.

At 17 minutes, Xiaohu’s Syndra again solo killed yxl’s LeBlanc in the bot lane. At 24 minutes, during a dragon fight, yxl’s LeBlanc instantly burst down ELK’s Senna, but Viper’s Aphelios was also killed. Jiejie’s Rumble secured the dragon, but BLG’s top and mid players cleaned up the team fight, scoring a 3-for-5 wipe of WBG. Later at 30 minutes, both teams contested another dragon; although Jiejie took the dragon, Bin’s NAR ultimate was perfect, allowing BLG to chase down and kill two WBG members. Then yxl’s LeBlanc solo killed ELK’s Senna in mid lane, and BLG secured the first Baron. At 32 minutes, Bin’s NAR once again solo killed Zika’s Renekton. Ultimately, BLG won the first game by wiping WBG at their base. The highest damage dealer in the first game was yxl’s LeBlanc, while for WBG it was Xiaohu’s Syndra.

In the second game, WBG’s lineup featured Qiyana top, Kiana jungle, Orianna mid, and Corki with Nami bot; BLG ran Sion top, Pantheon jungle, Azir mid, and Ezreal with Alistar bot. At 3 minutes, a bot lane skirmish erupted near the river; Xiaohu’s Orianna came to assist, but WBG traded one for three, with ELK’s Corki securing first blood. At 12 minutes, Zika’s Qiyana solo killed Viper’s Ezreal. Early on, WBG took one dragon, Zika’s Qiyana farmed excellently, while Viper’s Ezreal started 0-3, and WBG led by 5k gold.

At 25 minutes, WBG was rampaging across the map, steadily increasing their gold lead. At 25 minutes, WBG attempted Baron, but Xun’s Pantheon ultimate arrived in time to steal the first Baron. At 28 minutes, a mid lane fight broke out; Bin’s Sion was instantly killed, Jiejie secured the Cloud Drake, and after a 0-for-3 trade, WBG won the second game. The MVP was awarded to Zika’s Qiyana.

In the third game, BLG’s lineup was Rumble top, Jayce jungle, LeBlanc mid, and Aphelios with Rell bot; WBG ran Aatrox top, Jayce jungle, Orianna mid, and Senna with Neeko bot. At 5 minutes, Xun’s Jayce ganked mid and killed Xiaohu’s Orianna, giving BLG first blood. Early exchanges were even, but WBG took two dragons, destroyed the first tower bot, and led by 1k gold.

At 20 minutes, WBG swiftly secured the dragon that would put them on match point, while BLG traded for the Rift Herald. At 22 minutes, yxl’s LeBlanc solo killed Xiaohu’s Orianna bot. At 26 minutes, WBG initiated a fight mid, killing BLG’s jungle and support, securing the Infernal Soul and the first Baron. At 29 minutes, a base fight broke out; Jiejie’s Jayce scored a triple kill, and after wiping BLG, WBG claimed the match victory.
