Hello to all LPL viewers and League of Legends summoners, this is Tianxia Game Review.
Last night, the drama surrounding Bin's exit broke out, drawing most people's focus, but in fact, there was another exciting event in LPL — the second clash between JDG and WBG.

In this round, JDG was defeated once more, losing 2-1 to their rivals.
JDG also suffered a double kill and lost the game due to a crucial mistake
The first round of this year's LPL summit group already showed a closed loop pattern: JDG beat BLG, BLG beat WBG, and WBG beat JDG. After the second round began, JDG defeated BLG again, which was one of the main causes of the off-field drama involving BLG.

After double killing BLG, JDG still had a chance to keep their top spot, but the good times didn’t last. They lost again to WBG yesterday, maintaining the closed loop among these three LPL teams, leading fans to nickname LPL the "Gyroscope Region."
To briefly summarize yesterday’s matches: in the first game, Junjia played jungle Jayce, a champion he wasn’t very proficient with before. His early game was decent, and Jiejie kept good pace. After some back-and-forth, the game was tied, though a funny misplay by Xiaohu’s Azir, involving a backward drift, led to his death.

In the mid-game, Junjia lost track of the dragon, causing JDG to lose the Baron Nashor and tipping the match in WBG’s favor.
In the second game, JDG showed the dominant performance expected of a strong team. After securing Nightmare Orianna, they continuously pushed the tempo, leading to a crushing victory that tied the series. However, in the final deciding game, JDG repeated a similar critical mistake, this time giving GALA the opening.
Tabe lost his temper, calling it the ugliest match
In the third game, WBG’s jungler Jiejie on Poppy had good control, but JDG’s mid laner on Anivia pressured Xiaohu heavily. The Luna duo in the bottom lane gained advantage, while Elk started poorly with Caitlyn and failed to accelerate the pace. JDG controlled the mid-game and held a gold lead of three to four thousand.

However, during the push on the mid second tower, GALA made a huge blunder by greedily stacking his passive, which Jiejie’s Poppy capitalized on with a flash wall slam and a coordinated kill. WBG then chased down another player and secured the Baron.
This play caused the game to spiral out of control again, and Xiaohu’s comedic Nidalee R-flash combo helped WBG win the team fight.
Ultimately, WBG defeated JDG 2-1. After the match, Tabe was so frustrated he overheated, bluntly stating this was JDG’s ugliest performance of the season, expressing anger over losing a game they absolutely shouldn’t have lost.

Later, Tabe forced himself to calm down and said they need to review and adjust well before facing AL. When evaluating the team’s performance this season, he criticized their poor ability to close out games and weak snowballing.
LPL lacks top-tier teams, struggling against LCK
A brief overview of the current LPL landscape: I personally think the nickname “Gyroscope Region” fits perfectly. Right now, LPL has no team that can be called truly top-tier. The trio of BLG, JDG, and WBG would likely struggle against even this season’s heavily criticized HLE from LCK, and might rank near the bottom of LCK standards.

JDG’s current issue is their limited team ceiling and lack of top-tier individual skill. Such a team is very likely to be outplayed and crushed by LCK’s best lineups.
BLG, which relies heavily on individual skill, faces the LCK’s strength in strategic play and punishment of mistakes. LCK punishes errors at the highest level, so when LPL teams slip up, the game is often lost immediately, while LPL teams rarely punish LCK’s mistakes effectively.

This year, LCK made a significant decision to hold the LCK Cup finals in Hong Kong, aiming to expand overseas markets. Personally, I think it’s possible that one day LPL and LCK might merge into a single league, which would likely skyrocket viewership.
