The LPL Nirvana group went wild! OMG made new history, two dark horses advanced, and IG is in a very precarious situation.

Hello to all LPL viewers and League of Legends summoners, this is Tianxia Game Hub.

The first stage of the LPL recently started the Knights' Path competition, beginning with the confrontation between the Resolute group and the Peak group, and yesterday saw the fight between the Nirvana group and the Resolute group.

In the end, two teams from the Nirvana group went completely wild, with OMG and LNG both advancing successfully.

The LPL Nirvana group went crazy, and two dark horses advanced.

Let me briefly explain the rules of the Knights' Path: first, the bottom two teams from the Peak group face off against the top two teams from the Resolute group; winners advance directly, while losers get another chance. Then, the top two from the Nirvana group compete against the bottom two from the Resolute group. The two winners from this match will face the two teams that lost on the first day.

Ultimately, four teams will qualify for the playoffs. On the first day, TES defeated WE, while IG was beaten by NIP, meaning WE and IG will enter the final do-or-die matches.

Yesterday's two matches were LNG vs. TT and OMG vs. EDG, both ending with victories for the Nirvana group teams.

Before the matches began, most fans favored EDG and LNG to advance. EDG had a 4-2 record in the Resolute group, tied with NIP and WE, while LNG dominated the Nirvana group with a perfect 6-0 record. In contrast, OMG's record was less impressive at 3 wins and 3 losses.

Normally, a 3-3 record in the Nirvana group is less valuable than a 4-2 in the Resolute group, but the outcome was surprisingly magical: OMG defeated EDG 3-1 to advance.

OMG made new history while EDG's efforts were in vain.

The LNG vs. TT match was nearly one-sided, but the key series was OMG vs. EDG. EDG’s bottom lane featured Leave, who performed excellently last year, but this year’s Knights' Path Leave was very disappointing, dying at critical moments in the first game against OMG and causing the loss.

The first game was back-and-forth until at 40 minutes Leave got caught out without a Guardian Angel and was killed, resulting in a loss.

In the second game, EDG heavily targeted the bottom lane. Despite OMG’s early collapse, they managed to turn the tide. Bard died mid-game after securing many kills, EDG failed to snowball, made continuous mistakes, and lost a crucial team fight and Baron. OMG showed superior opportunistic skills, stealing the key Baron and winning the match.

In the third game, EDG finally dominated as OMG’s jungler made multiple early mistakes, losing control of the pace. EDG’s jungler led the team to a huge advantage, and OMG couldn’t stage a comeback.

However, in the fourth game, a familiar scenario repeated: EDG led by up to 9,000 gold, but Leave died instantly in the high ground team fight, allowing OMG to launch a full push and complete a huge comeback. Thus, OMG created new history by defeating EDG in a BO5 for the first time ever.

EDG’s old problems resurfaced, putting IG in a very dangerous position.

From the BO5 series, I believe EDG and OMG are closely matched, but EDG’s long-standing issues showed clearly: poor snowballing and finishing ability after gaining an advantage, overly cautious in many situations, and Leave’s poor positioning in team fights leading to crucial deaths.

This caused EDG to lose most of their BO5 games due to opponent comebacks; in three out of four games, EDG still had an economic lead at the end, which is quite astonishing.

The final result is that EDG wasted the entire stage and will have to continue playing in the Nirvana group next stage. Leave, who was highly anticipated last year, probably won’t have many chances this year. Even if he tries his best, his performance has been poor, which is quite disappointing.

For OMG, after advancing, they will face IG to compete for the last playoff spot.

Personally, I think IG’s situation in the final round against OMG is quite dangerous. Of course, facing OMG is better than facing LNG; playing LNG would be hopeless, but against OMG there is still a chance. However, to win, they must thoroughly study their opponent and not be as complacent as in the previous round.
