"LCK match paused for a full team bathroom break" went viral, Kiin apprentices under Bin, Showmaker caught 21 times

Introduction: The S16 season matches have officially begun, and the majority of players have been watching the recent showdowns attentively. The LCK region is hosting very fierce competitions. In the recent elimination rounds, Gen.G managed to beat DK 3-1 once again, claiming victory. This also marked their 21st consecutive win over mid-laner Showmaker. During this confrontation, there were many humorous moments. When DK called a timeout, almost the entire team went to the restroom together—did they all get stomach issues during the break? Gen.G’s top laner Kiin even apprenticed under Bin, mimicking Bin’s famous “excavator” playstyle.

Most players remain highly interested in the LCK region battles. Gen.G, a well-known veteran powerhouse, has maintained strong popularity and momentum over recent years. This season, they continue to compete with their fully renewed roster, showing very consistent overall performance. So far, they have achieved an undefeated record, ranking first in LCK. Many fans joked that this is typical Gen.G behavior—dominant for 11 months and then faltering at Worlds. The match against DK became a hot topic online, and unsurprisingly, Gen.G secured another easy victory.

The first game was very easy; although Gen.G didn’t seem to be in peak form, they still dominated DK effortlessly, ending the match in just 30 minutes with a complete sweep. The second game brought a hilarious moment: at the 24-minute mark, the game was paused and four DK players all left their seats to go to the restroom together. It’s likely they all got stomach issues during the break, otherwise, they wouldn’t all be so anxious. Eventually, DK fought back and won the second game after a 40-minute battle, with the Elder Dragon steal being crucial.

The third game was another easy domination. Without even engaging in a team fight, the gold difference stretched to 7000, showing a huge strategic gap. The top and mid lanes clearly played on different levels. The fourth game lasted over 40 minutes as well. Gen.G’s mid-laner Chovy dealt nearly 80,000 damage, completely overwhelming Showmaker, who failed to perform well in all four games. In this game, top laner Kiin recreated one of Bin’s iconic moments—using the excavator against Sion, performing the famous “traveling Bin” play that instantly blew up the chat, with many fans jokingly paying tribute to the world’s number one top laner.

After this match, Showmaker has lost to Gen.G 21 times since 2020, never winning a single game against them. It seems to have created a psychological barrier for Showmaker; whenever he faces Chovy, he gets outplayed. Even in the off-season, Bin remains a focus of attention, with jungler Tian even changing his in-game name in admiration. Bin has undeniably become the top star of the LPL, with Elk joking within the team that Bin has become a traffic magnet. It’s uncertain if Bin feels proud seeing this flourishing scene, but after all, it’s something he helped nurture himself.

Farewell thoughts

Many previously doubted that Kiin’s idol was Bin, but after paying homage to Traveling Bin on stage, fans have accepted it. After all, Bin is the world’s best top laner, and learning from him is natural. It seems this year the LCK scene will still be dominated by Gen.G and T1, who will likely compete in the global Rift Rivals. As long as they don’t meet early, the chances for other regions to claim the championship are slim.
