LOL's top streamer viewership falls below 100,000! Tries Hextech Mayhem for the first time, doesn't even know how to buy items

As the Spring Festival arrives, 2025 has come to a close. I wish you all a joyful new year, family bliss, success at work, endless money counting, consecutive wins in ranked, and flawless Hextech Mayhem openings. During the holiday break, there are no games in the two main regions, and the LPL community lacks major news. Today, let's discuss the former LOL king Dashima, who resumed streaming before the new year.

Since Dashima came back on the 13th, he has streamed for four consecutive days. Even on New Year's Eve, he didn't disappoint his viewers. It's clear that after resting for several years, his enthusiasm for streaming is high. He even skipped the family reunion dinner to stream. However, compared to when he first returned, his popularity and viewer numbers have been steadily declining over the past two days, with fewer people staying in his stream.

On the first day back, 16.09 million watched Dashima’s stream, with a stable audience of 227,000 viewers. After three days, the viewership sharply dropped to 5.53 million, and the steady viewers fell to 84,000, dropping below the 100,000 mark. This was expected since many players from the LOL community initially supported him, and various giveaways attracted casual viewers.

The former LOL king's comeback stream’s audience and popularity are even lower than those of Sao Nan, which is somewhat surprising. The main reason is the inconsistency in Dashima’s streaming content. LOL fans want to watch him play League, but old fans prefer seeing him play games like PUBG or Street Fighter. There’s also a demand for Delta Force. His frequent game switching causes instability in his viewer base.

Dashima is considerate of his audience and rotates through different games. On the third day of his return, he played Hextech Mayhem at fans’ request. He hadn’t played this mode since it came out, and he hadn’t touched LOL for quite some time. When returning to League of Legends, he didn’t even know how to buy items, asking “Where are the items?” which confused viewers. He looked like a pure casual player.

Although Dashima rose to fame through League of Legends, he truly doesn’t enjoy the game anymore. It might be due to age and declining skills, or simply boredom. Compared to LOL, he streams PUBG much more frequently, probably because it offers better entertainment value. While Hextech Mayhem is fun to play personally, it’s hard to engage when watching others play.

Watching Dashima’s streams now isn’t about learning gameplay; 99% of viewers come for his entertaining “sugar-coated” plays. PUBG streams have much better entertainment than LOL. Just last night, his PUBG death highlights were more amusing than the Spring Festival Gala. However, compared to his peak, Dashima’s current form hasn’t reached that “top” level—there are no jaw-dropping plays where he dominates non-stop.

Fluctuating popularity is normal for Dashima since he isn’t a streamer who sticks to just one game. Switching games naturally causes audience changes and fluctuations. But as long as he regains that “winning streak” vibe, his streams will remain entertaining. The only improvement needed now is to reduce appearances by others; having his assistant or Qiezi chat occasionally ruins the old atmosphere.

Conclusion:

Dashima genuinely doesn’t like LOL anymore. His Hextech Mayhem streams feel reluctant and only average in entertainment. Going forward, he will likely focus on PUBG, Street Fighter, and Plants vs. Zombies. Personally, I think Delta Force could be developed more—if Dashima brings his amazing PUBG skills there, the show would definitely be exciting.

So, what do you think about Dashima’s current streaming performance?
