Map 1: Haven

Defending side EDG: Sova, Neon, Chamber, Omen, Viper

Attacking side M8: Sova, Neon, Astra, Yoru, Cypher

The first half began with nobody getting a 4k at the A/B link crossover, stopping M8's attack. The following round, M8 executed a slow garage and C site infiltration; Minny, using a classic, pierced through garage to secure a comeback round.

M8's mix of fast and slow executes netted them five consecutive rounds. They targeted EDG's Viper player QiuQiu, and with repeated attacks and Minny's solo hold in garage covering the crossover, they made retakes impossible for EDG.

EDG lost too many rounds where they had a numerical advantage, and their aim seemed off. In round 10, EDG's eco round saw their double-controller composition fully unleash, successfully stalling and outmaneuvering M8 to claim their third round. Subsequently, KangKang's Operator got a 4k, adding another round.

The first half ended with M8 leading 8-4.

Entering the second half, M8's calling became somewhat "lost," and they were completely dismantled by EDG. KangKang's Operator was on point, leading EDG to a six-round streak, including three flawless victories, tying the score at 10-10.

In round 21, EDG's execute onto A site was countered by M8's superior positioning and duels; EDG failed to hold the site and M8 ended their losing streak.

In round 24, EDG's methodical push was picked apart by M8. In the final round, M8 successfully seized their chance to defeat EDG. M8 won Haven 13-11.

Map 2: Pearl

Defending side EDG: Sova, Yoru, Neon, Astra, Killjoy

Attacking side M8: Fade, Neon, Astra, Yoru, Cypher

The first half started with KangKang's 3k leading EDG to win the pistol round. In round 5, EDG's save round, they controlled mid and B site; cb took down two from behind, causing M8's full buy round to be overturned by EDG.

In round 7, nobody's calm calling and a judge double-kill allowed EDG's aggressive site hold gamble to succeed, securing another comeback round. In round 11, EDG failed to hold against M8's jump-peek entry onto A site, allowing M8 to claw back a round.

EDG couldn't build a significant lead in the first half, and M8 managed to equalize the score on their attacking side.

In the second half, QiuQiu's patient flank won the pistol round for EDG. However, Minny's classic soon made an impact, solo holding B site and eliminating cb; EDG couldn't withstand M8's retake, suffering a heartbreaking round loss.

M8 won four rounds in a row. Throughout today's match, EDG repeatedly failed to convert man-advantage situations, with round 17 being another such instance.

M8 grew stronger as the match progressed, reaching match point first. In round 20, M8 eliminated two EDG players in mid and A, gaining a numbers advantage, and played steadily to win the round. M8 secured a seven-round streak in the second half, clinching victory on Pearl.
