VCT Masters: d4v41 remains calm under pressure to dominate the clutch, PRX defeats G2 2-0

In the first round of the Valorant Santiago Masters Swiss stage, PRX defeated G2 2-0, advancing PRX to the 1-0 group in the Swiss stage.

Map 1: Fracture

Defending side PRX: Viper, Omen, Raze, Yoru, Cypher

Attacking side G2: Astra, Neon, Viper, Sova, Omen

G2 began the first half by winning three consecutive rounds. In the fourth round, PRX earned their first point through coordinated defense on B site's second floor.

After G2 used their utility to execute an attack, they had no counter-utility against PRX's retake, causing G2 to lose two rounds in a row and immediately call a timeout.

In round 7, G2 executed a split fake on A site, pulling PRX's defense apart. Subsequently, invy held A site effectively, giving PRX a player advantage, and their pincer retake succeeded in securing the round.

JAWGEMO's aggression was somewhat disconnected from his team. PRX, on defense, turned the score around through coordination and winning duels. PRX went on a five-round winning streak, securing eight rounds in the first half.

Entering the second half, G2 made a coordination error in the pistol round, allowing PRX to capitalize and win it. In the following round, G2, in a 4v5 situation, held their ground on A site's second floor and defended the spike to complete an eco-round upset.

After winning that eco round, G2 went on a five-round winning streak. In round 19, d4v41 pulled off a remarkable 1v2 clutch, using his Bulldog to withstand G2's full-buy retake and secure a triple kill for the win.

PRX varied their attack tempo, winning four rounds in a row, and closed out Fracture with a 13-9 score.

Map 2: Bind

Defending side PRX: Vex, Omen, Cypher, Astra, Viper

Attacking side G2: Astra, Chamber, Viper, Sova, Skye

In the first half, after winning a bonus round, PRX went on a four-round winning streak. In round 7, following a timeout adjustment, G2 attempted a rush onto A site, but invy, wielding an Odin, unleashed full firepower from a direct angle, securing a triple kill to hold the site.

In round 8, leaf delivered a crucial performance, holding off PRX's Yoru and defending the spike by eliminating three PRX players. In round 10, G2 employed a human-wave tactic to storm B site, and PRX's 2v2 retake attempt was unsuccessful.

d4v41 once again showcased his skill in a clutch situation, leading his team to victory and giving PRX a two-round lead by halftime.

In the second half, PRX won the pistol round. In round 15, d4v41 and f0rsakeN eliminated the entire G2 squad. G2 failed to secure a single round in the second half, as PRX won six consecutive rounds to take Bind.
