VCT: The Long Wind Never Ends, Knights Sheathe Their Swords; EDG Falls 0-3 to LEV in Lower Bracket Final

In the lower bracket final of the Valorant Masters Tokyo, LEV swept EDG 3-0 to advance to the grand final.

Map 1: Ascent


Defending side LEV: Neon, Chamber, Sova, Phoenix, Astra

Attacking side EDG: Skye, Omen, Neon, Killjoy, Raze

LEV won the pistol round. In round 3, EDG broke through garage into C, and KangKang pushed forward for an aggressive defense, taking down LEV's retake players.

In round 4, EDG engaged at A site, eliminating LEV's retake. Two LEV players used a flash and jumped through a window but were quickly taken down by EDG.

In round 5, Sato secured a triple kill during the retake on C, but Jieni7 failed to clutch a 1v2 situation.

LEV grew increasingly hot, securing eight consecutive wins in the first half to reach 10 rounds.

In the second half, LEV won the pistol round again. In round 15, EDG's bonus round, EDG held off LEV's initial rush into B, then retook A site and won the round.

EDG pulled back three consecutive rounds. In round 18, nobody was first blooded at C long. LEV stalled for a while, then secured the win on B site to take Map 1.

Map 2: Pearl


Defending side LEV: Neon, Chamber, Sova, Phoenix, Astra

Attacking side EDG: Dark, Vyse, Jett, Phoenix, Astra
EDG won the pistol round. In round 3, EDG made a mistake—they attacked A without clearing angles, then transitioned to B and planted, but were eliminated during retake.

EDG achieved four consecutive wins. In round 8, EDG rushed B, but couldn't hold the site. KiNgg held the line at the back, taking down two and defending successfully.

EDG led by two rounds at halftime, while LEV only secured four rounds on defense.

In the second half, QiuQiu got a triple kill in a clutch situation but was eventually taken down by Sato. Then nobody made a clever play by pushing A long and catching an enemy from behind. EDG retook A site and won the round, securing an eco comeback.

The two teams traded rounds. By round 18, EDG had an eco round, failed to win on B, and LEV tied the score.

In round 19, KangKang held A site with an Operator, forcing LEV to attempt B, but EDG failed to hold the B site.

In round 21, EDG stacked four players on B but lost the gunfight at B long. LEV reached match point and quickly closed out Map 2.

Map 3: Haven


Defending side EDG: Viper, Jett, Omen, Skye, Raze

Attacking side LEV: Omen, Neon, Viper, Dark, Phoenix

LEV won three consecutive rounds to start. EDG called their first timeout. Nobody took down three LEV players with a shotgun at A site, then EDG rotated to B and won the retake, making Autumn's timeout effective.

In round 6, EDG had a half-buy round. KangKang got a triple kill at A site, but blowz won the final clutch.

In round 8, nobody got a double kill, and EDG secured their second round by holding B site.

At halftime, EDG trailed 5-7 against LEV.

EDG started the second half with five consecutive wins. In round 18, LEV eliminated all EDG players from A second floor, securing their first round of the half.

LEV pulled back four consecutive rounds, tying the score at 11-11. In the crucial round 23, EDG pushed A but were stopped, allowing LEV to reach match point.

In the match point round 24, EDG had a disadvantage in weapons. Their coordinated push into B was met by Neon's initial defense, then LEV's retake succeeded 3v2, securing the map and advancing to the final.
