Guan Zeyuan capitalizes on Bin's negative traffic.

Here's the story: Guan Zeyuan posted a video on a video platform about a giveaway of signed memorabilia from sports stars, but the initial setup and footage sparked huge controversy.

In the video, Guan Zeyuan set up a scene where he was "shooting hoops" at home, using a trash bin as a basketball hoop and throwing paper balls into it.

At the start, he displays a number 48, indicating he has already thrown 48 paper balls, then continues counting: 49, 50, and then stops, moving on to the main content of the video, which includes a preview of upcoming activities.

The opening clip with the number 48 has now been removed.

Upon seeing this, netizens erupted with anger, criticizing Guan Zeyuan for his poor taste, asking if he was deliberately seeking negative attention from Bin.

As everyone knows, "trash bin" translates to "bin" in English, and 48 is the most vicious insult used against Bin in the LPL community. As an official caster, Guan Zeyuan is fully aware of these memes, so pulling such a stunt at the start of the video is extremely malicious in nature.

Serious nature may lead to punishment.

After the incident, many viewers began reporting to the league officials, hoping that Guan Zeyuan would face consequences.

Here we can compare two similar controversial incidents involving Guan Zeyuan and Pyl. Previously, Pyl directly said "draw a talisman" during a live stream, which involved a derogatory term for The Shy's fans, causing viewer dissatisfaction.

Subsequently, the officials banned Pyl from streaming, which is a quite severe punishment.

Objectively speaking, Guan Zeyuan's case is clearly more severe than Pyl's, because 48 involves attacking family members, and it was posted on a short video platform, making its impact even greater.

The difference is that Guan Zeyuan's meme reference is more subtle, while Pyl's was more direct. If Pyl's "draw a talisman" is a second-layer meme, then Guan Zeyuan's is on the third layer.

Even so, as the person involved, Guan Zeyuan can hardly exonerate himself by claiming it was a coincidence. No one believes that the combination of 48 and the trash bin (Bin) is a coincidence, especially since the number 48 alone is already highly sensitive within the community.

Will Bin or BLG take action?

In my opinion, a key factor in whether Guan Zeyuan will be punished is whether BLG and Bin will step in.

As a caster with enormous influence in the LPL, Guan Zeyuan holds a high status in the scene. If this incident only remains a topic of online discussion, it might not necessarily lead to any punishment.

However, if Bin himself or BLG comes forward to address this issue, then Guan Zeyuan being punished is almost certain.

Although Bin's public image is not great, if he speaks up on this matter, he will surely gain support from most viewers. Essentially, it's about protecting his own reputation and preventing similar incidents from happening again.

If this incident is not taken seriously, I believe more people will use similar methods to attack Bin in the future.
