Hello to all the LPL viewers and League of Legends summoners, this is World Game Exchange.
In yesterday's match, the IG team once again triumphed over JDG with a score of 2-0. During this round, IG's entire roster was performing exceptionally well, with all five players displaying remarkable skills and minimal errors.
In the top lane, The Shy made a significant impact with two outstanding tank performances, helping the team secure victory.
The Shy made a powerful impact, showcasing IG's soul fusion technique.
In this round, The Shy selected tank champions in both games, representing a classic dual-enchanter combination in League of Legends. In the first game, he played Sion, and in the second, Ornn. Two key moments that led to IG's victory in the first game were WEI's initiation in a team fight, which helped the team gain an early kill lead.
Then, Rookie executed a counterattack against the Pan Yan duo in the top lane, and shortly after, The Shy's Sion made a decisive entrance with a brilliant initiation, securing a kill on Scout.
Subsequently, GALA's Varus achieved a pentakill, while The Shy's Ornn repeatedly disrupted the enemy formation during team fights. His various initiations, especially a remarkable charge at the inhibitor, left a lasting impression. Initially, IG planned to retreat, but The Shy charged in like a heavy truck, initiating control on the enemy.
IG executed their soul fusion technique, with Rookie's Orianna unleashing a devastating combo, allowing IG to secure a decisive victory.
Entering the second game, it became a stage for The Shy's personal performance. Using Ornn, he nearly carried the game from start to finish, becoming IG's primary contributor to victory, showcasing numerous spectacular plays. Early on, he faced Peyz's Xayah and, without hesitation, utilized his level advantage to execute a successful initiation and secure a kill.
The Shy's legendary battle, with an ultimate that was nothing short of miraculous.
In this match, IG's mid-laner Rookie faced continuous targeting, and the turret resources were plundered by JDG. IG found themselves at an economic disadvantage for a time. In this situation, IG aggressively rushed to take down Etta Khan successfully, invading the jungle to break the enemy's formation and turn the tide. During this play, The Shy's Ornn landed a crucial ultimate hitting three enemies, allowing his teammates to eliminate Peyz shortly after.
Scout's Ryze became disconnected in the team fight's initial moments, allowing Meiko to trap GALA and secure a kill.
In the end, IG executed a 0-for-4 team fight, directly reversing the situation. In this match, several players on JDG underperformed; Wink's chaotic initiation and lack of vision allowed IG to execute numerous flanking maneuvers.
Peyz, who was given an opportunity early on, was killed by The Shy. His team fight execution was also lacking, while Scout, despite starting well, made several mistakes. Ultimately, during the high ground team fight, even while successfully defending, he stepped forward to try to secure a kill and ended up being eliminated, leading to the conclusion of the match.
The Shy's Ornn consistently delivered impressive initiation plays, with his ultimate executed flawlessly. In the bot lane team fight, he used a lateral ram to slow down enemies, aiding his teammates' retreat. In the mid-lane team fight, after being focused down, he initiated with his ultimate, and his second W ability blocked control, resulting in numerous knock-ups that helped IG win the team fight.
The Shy, once unfamiliar, is now increasingly stable.
In my opinion, if we had to choose the most stable player in IG during the third phase of the tournament, it would undoubtedly be The Shy. His performance in this phase has been remarkably consistent, as he previously had occasional mistakes that should not have occurred, putting the team at a disadvantage.
However, in the third phase, The Shy's error rate has been extremely low, making him a reliable asset for the team. Especially when choosing tanks, his performance has echoed that of S8, with excellent timing on tank initiations and outstanding execution of team fight details.
Under the new system of coach Daeny, The Shy will often take on a supportive role, much like a green leaf in the team. Yet, many times, this green leaf can perform at a level comparable to the carry position. For instance, in the data panel from the second game, The Shy's damage output was nearly on par with the dual carries.
In future matches, it is advisable for IG to select higher margin for error top lane champions for The Shy in more intense confrontations, as this often yields better results.
