Recently, XuanShen, a secondary commentator for LPL, has drawn massive attention and debate with his “shameless” attitude and constant bashing of TheShy. Despite losing his commentary qualification due to LPL’s ruling, he leveraged the negative publicity to become a leading streamer on a major platform, drawing over 100,000 viewers whenever IG competes. However, many believe XuanShen is about to be banned, as his remarks during streams are often outrageous. Many IG fans hope the club’s management will take legal action to protect their players.
IG’s management, following fans’ suggestions, announced on their official Weibo that they’ve contacted lawyers and are preparing to sue XuanShen. Many IG fans celebrated, thinking XuanShen’s career was finished. But to their surprise, XuanShen openly taunted IG’s management during his stream, saying he’s not at all afraid of their lawsuit. He claimed that while such a lawsuit might be serious for ordinary people, he personally isn’t worried, and at most, he’d just have to pay IG a small sum.
Besides responding to IG’s official statement, XuanShen also revealed during his stream that he plans to sue some IG fans in the future, as he believes some of their online comments are too extreme, and he wants to take legal action against them for cyberbullying and spreading rumors. Because of XuanShen’s arrogant attitude during his streams, many IG fans hope the management will teach him a lesson and, ideally, have him permanently banned. (What do you think will happen with IG’s complaint? Will XuanShen really get banned?)
Ever since IG jungler WEI was pushed out by BLG’s “Five Palace One,” many BLG fans looked down on him, claiming WEI was a mediocre jungler and that IG would suffer because of him. However, as IG kept winning, WEI’s supporters hoped he could return as a king and take revenge on BLG. This much-anticipated showdown between BLG and IG attracted enormous attention, and in this BO3 series, IG ultimately secured the win with a 2-1 score.
IG’s performance in the match also surprised many fans. In this BO3, IG delivered many highlights—for example, in the first game, they were down by 10,000 gold in the mid-game, but thanks to TheShy and ROOKIE’s flawless teamfights and GALA’s late-game stability, IG managed a comeback. In the third game, despite being behind in gold, IG executed a perfect teamfight to win. Many viewers marveled at IG’s ability to create miracles, recalling how they previously beat TES in a 3v5 at Eltahan.
Aside from the match itself, BLG players’ actions off the field also drew criticism from IG fans. For instance, during the champion selection phase, ELK hovered the champion Shaco, who has a 0% pick rate this season. Realistically, there was no chance it was a misclick. Most believe ELK did this to mock WEI, especially since WEI once sent gifts to celebrate after BLG lost a match.
Personally, I really don’t understand why BLG fans and players dislike WEI so much. If you listen to his team comms and interviews, WEI has always been humble, but BLG just doesn’t like him. ELK’s move of hovering Shaco was also mocked by many viewers. Do you think BLG will swap out their jungler after losing to WEI?
