The Vietnamese three-cushion carom team produced the most thrilling semi-final of the event by edging past Sweden, earning a spot in the final after a high-pressure pursuit that lasted until the very last turns.

At table one, Trần Quyết Chiến faced the legendary Torbjörn Blomdahl. Vietnam's top player started confidently and maintained a high scoring rate. After 19 innings, he reached 40 points, achieving an impressive average (AVG) of 2.105 – a remarkable figure in a tense knockout match. Meanwhile, Blomdahl also played with great composure, scoring 36 points with an AVG of 1.894 and a total of 9 high runs, but it wasn't enough to turn the tide. Quyết Chiến's 40-36 victory gave Vietnam a crucial advantage.

However, at table two, Nguyễn Trần Thanh Tự encountered difficulties against David Pennör. After 29 innings, Thanh Tự scored 38 points (AVG 1.310), while Pennör reached 40 points with an AVG of 1.379. The narrow 38-40 defeat made the overall match situation extremely tense.
