According to the latest report from Caught Offside, Tottenham are aiming to sign Brentford captain Collins during this summer transfer window, a move strongly recommended by manager Flick. However, they face competition from Liverpool and Manchester United. Flick is eager to work with his former player again, and Tottenham have intensified their pursuit, with substantive talks and offers expected soon. In the first Premier League match, Brentford suffered a 1-3 away defeat to Nottingham Forest, losing key players. The Bees appointed Collins as their new captain to replace Nørgaard, who joined Arsenal. Yet, Collins is keen to join a bigger club to prove himself—a common challenge for mid-table teams, who must constantly sell and recruit talent.
