Only a few weeks after celebrating the 2025 National Super Cup, Cong An Ha Noi (CAHN) began the new season carrying great hopes from their fans.
A squad packed with national team players, led by the experienced coach Alexandre Polking and reinforced with quality foreign signings, was expected to start smoothly and with high spirit. Yet, the events of their first two official matches have raised concerns about a tough campaign ahead.
In the first round of V-League 2025/26, CAHN were held to a draw by The Cong Viettel in the capital’s “derby.” This was a match where Polking’s men seemed to have the momentum, especially after their win over defending champions Nam Dinh in the Super Cup.
However, what looked like a well-oiled machine didn’t go as planned. Quang Hai and his teammates even had to rely on Alan’s equalizer to secure a point.
