Arsenal intercepted Eze from Tottenham in just half a day, while Spurs are preparing an €80 million offer for Savinho, who scored 3 goals and provided 13 assists last season.

Arsenal managed to hijack Tottenham’s deal within half a day, reaching an agreement to sign Crystal Palace’s 27-year-old attacking midfielder Eze for over £60 million. This move greatly frustrated Spurs, as their long-term target was snatched away by their North London rivals. Now, Tottenham are determined to pursue Manchester City's 21-year-old winger Savinho.

The latest update from Brazil’s Globo Esporte reveals that Tottenham are preparing an €80 million bid for Savinho. Previously, Manchester City rejected Tottenham’s €50 million offer for the player. After being provoked by Arsenal’s actions, Spurs are eager to sign Savinho and plan to put forward a new €80 million proposal to City. This amount is likely to persuade City to let him go, as Savinho is mainly a rotation player under Guardiola’s system. With the 2026 World Cup approaching, Savinho is keen to secure a starting role, and Tottenham could use this desire to convince City to sell.

Reportedly, Tottenham will go all out to secure Savinho, and the Brazilian international’s agent is currently in London negotiating with various parties. However, since the City Group’s executives hope to keep Savinho, Spurs still face challenges in signing him this summer.

Savinho began his career at Atlético Mineiro before moving through several City Group clubs. In the summer of 2024, he joined Manchester City from Troyes for a bargain transfer fee of €25 million. At the time, Savinho was known as La Liga’s breakthrough king and had a market value of €50 million. Guardiola was dealing with personal issues, and City ended last season without any major trophies, failing to fully utilize their young talents. This has led Savinho to seek a move to a club where he can become a regular starter.

Savinho, now 21 years old, stands 1.78 meters tall, is left-footed, and primarily plays as a right winger, but can also operate on the left or as an attacking midfielder. He is valued at €50 million by Transfermarkt, and his market value has remained steady during his first season at City. Last season, Savinho made 48 appearances across all competitions for Manchester City, registering 3 goals and 13 assists.
