Although it covers less than one square kilometer, this village stands out as one of Puning’s most vibrant centers for online clothing wholesale, with over 1,000 e-commerce stores and more than 100,000 packages shipped daily at peak times, generating monthly sales in the hundreds of millions of yuan. Repeatedly honored as a “Taobao Village,” Shangliao Village in Chiwei Street is home to 4,500 local residents, yet attracts more than 20,000 migrant e-commerce workers, together forming an entrepreneurial and employment force exceeding 30,000 people. Since the implementation of the “Hundred-Thousand-Ten Thousand Project,” Shangliao Village has pioneered a model of “one village leading, multiple villages cooperating, and industries joining forces,” creating an e-commerce cluster centered on Shangliao and Shanhu villages that radiates to neighboring areas. Leveraging the incubation system based at Chaoshan College and the public e-commerce service platforms built by the street and village, Shangliao has vigorously developed a distinctive e-commerce economy.
