The couple, Duy Mạnh and Quỳnh Anh, made a memorable impression by giving away free ice cream to attendees of the A80 parade rehearsal.
On August 20th, Nguyễn Quỳnh Anh, the wife of the center-back, shared photos preparing for the country’s major celebration — the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The captain of the Vietnam national team and his wife decorated their family home on Nguyễn Thái Học street with images of President Hồ, red flags with yellow stars, traditional conical hats, newspapers, and more.
Notably, besides decorating their home, Duy Mạnh’s family also set up a small ice cream stand offering 500 free ice creams to people coming to watch the A80 parade rehearsal on August 21st. Their house is located right next to Văn Miếu - Quốc Tử Giám street, where the parade will pass by.
On her personal page, the WAG shared: “Everyone coming to watch the A80 rehearsal, please stop by and visit our family. It’s rare to have guests at home, so we have prepared 500 ice creams to offer you all.”Below the post, center-back Duy Mạnh also left a supportive comment, while friends and netizens praised the family’s enthusiasm and creativity.
This simple act carries deep meaning. Beyond creating a festive atmosphere ahead of National Day, the couple helps spread patriotism and community spirit. Many passersby noted that the Vietnam national team player and his wife are very friendly with their fans.
