The Hanoi vs HAGL game was moved forward by one day to better fit the schedule for the rehearsal of the parade and march commemorating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2 (A80).
Originally, the match between Hanoi FC and HAGL was set for 7:15 PM on August 24, 2025, at Hang Day Stadium. However, this plan has been revised, and the match will now take place one day earlier, at 7:15 PM on August 23, 2025.
This time change was proposed by Hanoi FC to better coordinate with traffic control measures, road closures, and restrictions in the capital city to support the rehearsal for the 80th Anniversary Parade and March celebrating the August Revolution and National Day on September 2 (A80).
The V-League 2025/26 organizers also requested all involved parties, including the two clubs and the match organizers, to promptly update the new schedule and closely cooperate to ensure the preparation and conduct of the match are safe, compliant, and effective.
After a 1-2 loss to Ho Chi Minh City Police Club in the opening round, Hanoi will return to Hang Day Stadium determined to secure all three points when hosting Hoang Anh Gia Lai. In their first match, the capital team showed some confusion against the disciplined yet powerful style of Ho Chi Minh City Police. However, HAGL is considered much weaker, especially after their heavy 0-3 home defeat to Becamex Ho Chi Minh City. With many national team players and home advantage, Coach Makoto's squad will surely take an attacking approach and control the game against a HAGL side that no longer holds the strength they had last season. The ultimate goal is to earn 3 points.
